Malik Taylor Posts 57 Yards In Preseason Opener

New York Jets wide receiver Malik Taylor led all pass-catchers with 57 yards on one reception in Thursday night's preseason loss to the Cleveland Browns. Taylor was on the receiving end of the biggest play of the game, coming down with a beautiful deep ball thrown by Zach Wilson in the first quarter. The 27-year-old spent the last two seasons in Green Bay but has just seven career receptions to this point. Taylor should continue to get some run in the preseason, but it will be an uphill battle for him to make any significant impact during his first year in New York.

Malik Taylor Back From COVID-19 List

The Green Bay Packers activated wide receiver Malik Taylor from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday. It's good news for the Packers after their top two receivers, Davante Adams and Allen Lazard, have gone on the COVID-19 list this week and are unlikely to play on Thursday night against the unbeaten Arizona Cardinals. Taylor should provide additional depth behind Randall Cobb, Equanimeous St. Brown and rookie Amari Rodgers, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring) is also an option to come off Injured Reserve to play. With just two catches on three targets for 14 yards in five games played this year, Taylor remains off the fantasy radar, even with Adams and Lazard likely to miss Week 8.

Malik Taylor Racks Up 66 Yards Against Jets

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Malik Taylor caught four passes for 66 yards in the team's second preseason game against the Jets. Taylor tied for team lead with five targets and his 23-yard reception on the first drive led to an early 7-0 lead. Taylor is not in line to be a huge contributor out of the gate but did enough in this game, along with rookie Amari Rodgers, to possibly cement a roster spot when the regular season gets underway.

Malik Taylor Totals 50 Yards

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Malik Taylor caught five passes for 50 yards in the team's first preseason game of the season against the Texans. Taylor caught only five passes for 66 yards and one touchdown last season for the Packers and is trying to carve out a role for himself on a team with Super Bowl aspirations. Taylor made some solid plays in this game but will need to continue to contribute to beat out veteran Devin Funchess and rookie Amari Rodgers for playing time this season.
