Baltimore Ravens running back Nate McCrary (knee) was injured during Sunday's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. McCrary, who led the team in rushing versus the Titans, finished with only one carry for nine yards and a catch for seven yards. The 23-year-old has been a consistent contributor for the Ravens during the preseason over the last two seasons. However, he'll be fighting for a spot in a crowded backfield. That said, even if he makes the regular season roster, he isn't expected to contribute much of anything for fantasy managers in any format. Hopefully, a positive update will emerge regarding McCary's health moving ahead. Yet, there is also a chance he may have already played his final game for the birds, at least for this season.
Baltimore Ravens running back Nate McCrary finished with five carries for a team-high 31 rushing yards during the preseason win over Tennessee. Despite the promising performance on Thursday evening, the 23-year-old still has a way to go before he earns meaningful work in 2022-23. However, if he continues to play well throughout the preseason, he has a chance to make a regular season appearance if J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee) aren't available. Still, with Mike Davis, Tyler Badie, and Justice Hill on the roster and currently ahead on the depth chart, McCrary isn't expected to see the field enough at any point this season to warrant fantasy consideration in any format.
Baltimore Ravens running back Nate McCrary led the team in rushing during the preseason victory over the Washington Football Team. The rookie got plenty of work and finished with 22 carries for 68 yards, although the injury to J.K. Dobbins (knee) was partially responsible for the additional touches. While McCrary is on the bubble for a roster spot heading into the regular season, he could still see his fantasy stock rise if Dobbins misses the entire year. Still, that increase wouldn't be anything significant as he would likely sit behind Ty'Son Williams and even Justice Hill on the depth chart moving ahead. However, fantasy managers, especially in deeper dynasty formats, should keep McCrary on the radar.
Baltimore Ravens running back Nate McCrary led the team in rushing during Saturday's preseason victory over the Panthers. The rookie out of Saginaw Valley State ran for 64 yards off 15 attempts. It didn't end there as he also caught two of his three targets for 19 yards, and he also scored a touchdown, punching in a two-yard carry in the third quarter. Still, McCrary has some work ahead to climb the depth chart and make the 53-man roster. However, he has done everything right since coming into the league, so there is a chance fantasy managers could hear his name again at some point over the years. In the meantime, he has virtually no appeal in any fantasy format.
