Nyheim Hines News
Buffalo Bills running back Nyheim Hines has been unable to make much of an impact since being traded from the Indianapolis Colts. Mainly, Hines has served as the punt and kick returner, but has done very little on offense. On Saturday, Hines hauled in his lone target for a 10-yard touchdown in the win over the Miami Dolphins. It was nice to see Hines score, but he still is barely used in this offense. The expectation is that his role isn't going to grow much with Devin Singletary and James Cook healthy and playing well. There really isn't any streaming value for Hines heading into the Week 16 matchup against the Chicago Bears.
Buffalo Bills running back Nyheim Hines is still getting accustomed to his new team. That being said, his involvement in the offense has been minimal over the last two weeks in Buffalo. Although, the coaching staff mentioned they plan on continuing to work Hines into the offense. That's great to hear, but it doesn't mean he'll have as significant of role as he did with the Colts. Devin Singletary has run away with the lead back job, so Hines will likely be the primary receiving back. Hines could be able to provide decent PPR value in this offense, which is why he should be rostered in most 12-team formats. However, it's unlikely he'll be a difference maker against the Cleveland Browns in Week 11. He'll hopefully have a bigger role, but probably not enough to warrant starting in most fantasy formats.
Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that running back Nyheim Hines will be "worked in as he continues to grow" in the team's offense. Hines played just eight percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 10 overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings in his second game after coming over in a trade from the Indianapolis Colts. The 26-year-old pass-catching back has one reception for nine yards on two targets in his first two games for Buffalo, but he should start to see more action as he gets comfortable with the playbook. Still, Devin Singletary and rookie James Cook are road blocks for Hines to find any fantasy value in his new home, and his biggest contributions the rest of the way will probably be on special teams as a punt returner.

2021 was the year of Jonathan Taylor. As a result, Nyheim Hines became irrelevant from a fantasy perspective, scoring more than nine PPR fantasy points just three times. Compare that to 2020 when he went over 10 PPR points in nine different games. His snap share remained relatively consistent, but his opportunity and production took a hit due to Taylor's workload and efficiency. Hines went from averaging 4.8 targets on 15.8 routes run per game in 2020 to just 3.3 targets on 11.2 routes run per...
