Buffalo Bills wide receiver Rico Gafford has been cut by the organization. It has been an odd couple of the days for Gafford. He was added to the roster following both Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis being put on the COVID list. However, he was cut as soon as both players were activated on Friday. Possibly, the Bills added Gafford as insurance in case Beasley or Davis were held out longer than expected. Regardless, Gafford is off the Bills roster and will look to catch on elsewhere. It's unlikely he holds any fantasy value wherever he does land.
The Buffalo Bills claimed wide receiver Rico Gafford off waivers earlier this week. Both Gafford and Joey Ivie were added to the roster. The Bills could use some depth with Vernon Butler, Cole Beasley, Gabriel Davis and Star Lotulelei all landing on the COVID/reserve list. Through three seasons, Gafford has played in a total of eight games and has been mainly roster depth. Let's be honest, that is exactly what he is going to be on the Bills roster. Gafford is buried on the depth chart and really has no legitimate shot at playing time unless the Bills lose a handful of receivers.
