Shaquan Davis Leads Saints In Receiving In Win
New Orleans Saints undrafted rookie wide receiver Shaquan Davis had an encouraging game as he fights to secure a roster spot. The 23-year-old out of South Carolina State was targeted five times, securing three receptions for 63 yards to lead the team in receiving. Davis is competing with the likes of Lynn Bowden, Jontre Kirklin, Tre'Quan Smith, Keith Kirkwood, and Bryan Edwards to secure a roster spot. While Bowden, Smith, Kirkwood, and Edwards offer NFL experience, Davis is a candidate to potentially sit on the practice squad for a season or two and gain more experience coming from a lower level of competition in college.
