Vikings Sign Shaun Beyer
The Minnesota Vikings signed free-agent tight end Shaun Beyer to an undisclosed deal on Monday, according to a source. Beyer was waived by the Denver Broncos in May after spending most of his rookie season in 2021 on the team's practice squad. The 24-year-old hasn't been on an NFL active roster and has yet to play in a game, so he'll be hoping to stick around in Minnesota as tight end depth behind Irv Smith Jr., Ben Ellefson and Johnny Mundt. Beyer will be competing for a roster spot with Zach Davidson and rookie Nick Muse, but if he sticks with the Vikings, it will most likely be on their practice squad. He went undrafted last year out of the University of Iowa.
