Simmie Cobbs Shows Out In Preseason Loss
Washington Redskins wide receiver Simmie Cobbs cashed in his only reception of the preseason game against the Denver Broncos on Friday for an 18-yard touchdown. Cobbs, an undrafted free agent out of Indiana, is pushing for a roster spot. His biggest competition might be fellow UDFA Cam Sims. Jamison Crowder, Josh Doctson and Paul Richardson are roster certainties, but then there is a pool featuring Cobbs, Sims, Maurice Harris, Brian Quick and Trey Quinn. Darvin Kidsy also might have pushed into the mix with three grabs, 50 yards and a score on Friday. Right now Cobbs isn't worth a fantasy roster spot, but he is a player to watch closely.
