Stanley Morgan And Shedrick Jackson Elevated To Active Roster
Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Stanley Morgan and Shedrick Jackson have been elevated to the active roster ahead of their Week 10 game against the Houston Texans. The Bengals have already ruled out Tee Higgins (hamstring) but Ja'Marr Chase (back) is also questionable, so this move is interesting. Chase is slated to test out his ailing back during pre-game warmups, making him a game-time decision, so the elevations of Morgan and Jackson are a precaution. Either way, Tyler Boyd and Trenton Irwin should be heavily involved in the Bengals' passing attack against Houston. Fantasy managers should monitor Chase's status closely before kickoff on Sunday morning.
The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed wide receiver Stanley Morgan to an undisclosed two-year deal on Monday night, according to a league source. The deal includes a signing bonus and workout bonuses. Morgan will return to the only team he's known for his fourth season. The 25-year-old only had two catches on four targets for 11 yards in 17 regular season games (one start), and he's only caught five of 14 targets for 29 yards and no touchdowns in his three seasons in the NFL. Morgan obviously is well off the fantasy radar, especially while buried in a talented Bengals receiving corps.
Auden Tate, Stanley Morgan Jr. Miss Another Practice
Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Auden Tate (concussion) and Stanley Morgan Jr. missed their second straight practice this week on Thursday. With A.J. Green (ankle) likely to miss another game, Cincy's receiving corps is in dire straights. Expect Tyler Boyd and Alex Erickson to be the top two receivers, but they won't have much fantasy appeal with rookie Ryan Finley looking bad under center the last two games. Rookie Damion Willis would be the No. 3 wideout if both Tate and Morgan are unable to play. This is obviously a situation to avoid at all costs.
