Former Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Taven Bryan reached an agreement on a one-year deal worth $4.5 million with the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday, according to a source. Bryan was originally the 29th overall pick in the first round in 2018 by the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the team before joining the Browns in 2022. In 16 starts for Cleveland last year, Bryan had 26 tackles (11 solo), a career-high three sacks and six QB hits. The 27-year-old will most likely continue to operate in a rotational role for the Colts' defensive line in the middle in 2023.
The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Florida defensive tackle Taven Bryan at No. 29 overall in the 2018 NFL draft. The Jags continue to load up on strong defensive players. Bryan loves to knock offensive linemen back into the backfield. His numbers might not indicate how good he actually is, but he needs to get better at finishing plays once he disrupts the backfield. There is a lot of talent around him in Jacksonville, so he may not play a lot initially.
