Zack Moss News
Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss continues to do wonders with his increased playing since Jonathan Taylor went down with a season-ending ankle injury. Moss tallied 74 rushing yards on 15 carries in their 38-10 Week 17 defeat to the New York Giants. The 25-year-old was heavily involved from the game's opening minutes but only had two gains of at least ten yards. His biggest play came in the fourth quarter when he gained 12 yards before getting tackled by Jaylon Smith. Though the Colts are on a six-game losing streak, Moss is one of their few bright spots, with at least 65 rushing yards in each of his last three games. The Colts will face the Houston Texans in Week 18, allowing Moss to close the season on a solid note. Colts quarterback Nick Foles (rib) exited Sunday's loss early and did not return. But with uncertainty at quarterback looming, it's best to keep Moss as a backup option at running back.
Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss carried the ball 36 times for 146 yards over their last two games. He has been given more reps since Jonathan Taylor suffered a season-ending injury and has responded to the call. Moss will again be the Colts' primary backfield option when they face the New York Giants in Week 17. Though Giants defensive tackle Leonard Williams is tied for fifth-best among defensive tackles with a 40 percent run-stop win rate, the team has been largely inept at stopping the run. They are tied for the fourth-most rushing yards allowed per game at 145.9 and have given up an average of 22.41 fantasy points to running backs. Moss has consecutive games of at least eight fantasy points, and his output should increase against the Giants. But given that he is playing for an offense that is putting up only 16.5 points per game, it's best to consider Moss as a flex option in fantasy.
Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss carried the ball 12 times for 65 yards, adding one catch for five yards in Monday night's 20-3 loss to the Chargers. The 25-year-old operated as the lead back, handling all but one backfield rushing attempt. His teammate Deon Jackson had more receptions with three, but the former Bill was far more productive. The team trailed midway through the second quarter, eventually preventing them from leaning on the ground game. The offense's inability to remain on the field and get into scoring position also hurt Moss's value. Things may be better against the Giants next week, but this offense looked as bad as it has all season.
