6 NHL Player Prop Bet Picks

With a huge slate of games for tonight, let’s look at some of the players who can provide value with prop bets.

Evan Bouchard Over .5 Assists

Bouchard and his Oilers are facing off against the Blue Jackets in this matchup.  The play-making defensemen should have his fingerprints all over this game with the Oilers being (-280) road favorites.  Bouchard has assists in 5 of his last 6 games.  The Oilers come in on a five-game win streak and are looking to continue that streak against a team that should not be able to keep up with them.  It always helps when he can pass the puck to McDavid and Draisaitl.

Alex Ovechkin Over 3.5 Shots

Ovi matches up with Sidney Crosby and the Penguins in this contest.  The two aging veterans are both hall of famers but both have their teams currently on the outside looking into the playoffs.  Within one point of each other in the standings, this game could be a huge difference-maker in these team’s playoff hopes.  In what always seem to be competitive games between these two, where both teams so desperately need to win, Ovechkin should get his shots away.  Ovi has had 3 or more shots in 12 of his last 14 games.

Roman Josi Over .5 Points

Josi is one of the most underappreciated defensemen in the league.  The Predators are currently in the playoffs but they are battling with a few other teams for the final spots.  Josi has produced all season, recording 61 points in 63 games this season.  The Predators are facing off with the Sabres, who played last night against the Maple Leafs.  The tired legs of the Sabres and the elite-level playmaking from Josi make this a very reachable target for him.

Jack Eichel Over 3.5 Shots

Eichel is just returning from injury but he is not scared to shoot the puck.  In his first game back from injury just a few days ago, he recorded 5 shots.  He is in a tough matchup with the Canucks and keeping up offensively might be how this game stays close.  Especially with Mark Stone being put on the long-term IR, the Golden Knights need Eichel to come back and be the offensive threat they know he can be.

Sebastian Aho Over .5 Points

Aho is very talented and plays on a line with other elite playmaking options.  This, paired with the fact that they are (-310) favorites against the Canadiens, makes him, and other Hurricanes players, good picks for any prop bets.  The sportsbooks believe the ‘Canes are going to dominate this game, and if that’s the case, Aho as the number 1 center is likely to be involved.  Aho has 64 points this season and is a huge part of his team’s success this season.

Noah Dobson Over .5 Assists

Dobson has been elite this season and has a matchup with the Sharks. The Sharks are giving up 3.89 goals against per game, and Dobson has 56 assists so far this season. Dobson’s elite-level playmaking and the matchup make this an obtainable target for Him. The Islanders come into this game on a four-game win streak and need to keep it going to keep pace in the competitive playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.
