New York Islanders @ Washington
Bo Horvat Over 2.5 Shots
Horvat has 69 shots over 23 games with the Islanders, since coming over from Vancouver on Jan 31st. His NYI shot average is 3 Shots per game. However, since his linemate, Barzel, has been injured on Feb17.2023, Bo has averaged 3.6 Shots per game over these last five games. Head-to-Head History tells us that Bo had 3 shots in his game as an Islander, against the Caps, on March 11th. His last five-game Shot count looks like this: (Shots – Opponent – Game Result)
- 2 shots vs NJ = W
- 5 shots vs Buff = L
- 3 shots @ CBJ = L

- 5 shots @ SJ = W
The Islanders played Monday in New Jersey, so they will be rested for this match. Horvat sees regular Line 1 ice time as well as First Power Play Unit minutes. New Jersey boxed him out, previously he averaged 4 shots per game. Bo will get over 2.5 shots in this game.
Alex Ovechkin Under 4 Shots
Ovechkin has 44 shots in the month of March. With the Caps playing 11 games so far, he is therefore averaging 4 shots per game. Head-to-Head History tells us that Ovie had 4 shots on the Islanders, on March 11, and 2 shots on the Islanders net, on January 16. His last five-game Shot count looks like this: (Shots – Opponent – Game Result)
- 4 shots -Pitt = L
- 3 shots Chi = W
- 3 shots CBJ = L
- 8 shots Min = L
- 4 shots St.L = L
The Caps played Saturday in Pittsburgh, so they should be well rested for this match, The Capitals are only 6 points out of the Final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference, and 9 points below the Islanders. Losers in 4 of their last 5 games, this is a huge 4-Point game for Ovie and the Caps. The Islanders have the 10th-ranked Penalty Kill, and Ovie has had some personal family issues to deal with this Month. The Great 8 will get his shots, it will be close, but just not 5 of them.
Minnesota @ Colorado
Mats Zuccarello Over 2.0 Shots
Minnesota has shot up the standings and are leading the Central Division, winning 4 of their last 5 games. You know, the Division with the Defending Stanley Cup Champion Avalanche in it. Zuccarello has 34 shots over 13 games for the month of March, averaging 2.6 shots per game. Since his linemate, Kaprizov was injured on March 07.2023, he has averaged 2.5 shots per game (25 shots over 10 games, since his injury). Head-to-Head History tells us that Zucc had 0 shots in the February 15.2023 game against the Avs and 5 shots on October 17.2023.

- 0 shots vs Chi = W
- 3 shots @ Phila = L
- 4 shots @ NJ = W
- 4 shots vs Wash = W
Seattle and Chicago shut him down. Previous to that, he averaged 3.6 shots per game. The Wild played at home on Monday, against Seattle, so he will be rested and will get more than 2.0 shots in this one.
Nathan Mackinnon Over 1.5 Points
March has been MacKinnon’s most proactive month this season, (24 points so far this month). #29 has placed the Avs on his back and willed them into the playoff picture, as well as challenging the Wild for First Place in the Central Division.
Mackinnon is averaging 2.4 Points per games in the month of March (24 Points in 10 games ). Nice to see. The Avalanche have had their fair share of injuries throughout this season, however, they are getting healthy just in time for the their Playoff run. Take Notice: they have won 9 of their last 10 games.
Head-to-Head History tells us that Mackinnon had 2 points in the February 15.2023 game against the Wild and 3 points in the October 17.2023 game. His last five game Point count looks like this: (Points – Opponent – Game Result)

The Avs are on fire and so is Mackinnon, who ranks 7th in the NHL for Total Points with 95. Play the Hot Hand, he will score more than 1.5 points tonight.

Why Should I Play At Underdog Fantasy?
Underdog Fantasy is one of my favorite ways to play fantasy sports. There are no waivers, trades, or lineup settings; there’s no league management after you draft. It also offers one of the best interfaces on the market. But, don’t take my word for it; If you head over to the App Store. You can verify it has a 4.7 rating with over 3,400 reviews.
- Fun – I have recommended Underdog Fantasy to a number of people, all with different levels of sports competitiveness, and knowledge of sports, and they have all found the games at Underdog Fantasy to be fun.
- Interface – The Underdog Fantasy app leaves little to be desired. The app is lightning-fast, slick, and easy to use. The design and layouts are easy to navigate with light and dark mode options, and draft rooms fill rapidly, which allows you to draft a team in minutes.
- Better Chances To Win – With Underdog, you don’t have to worry about a salary cap or being beaten by an expert who mass-entered a tournament with maximum lineup entries, used optimizers, or any other trick in the book to beat the daily player. Every owner gets one team and one shot at winning their league. Lastly, the player pool is much smaller than DraftKings or FanDuel, making it easier to cash.
