Connor Bedard Sets Up Two Goals in Overtime Win

Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard recorded two assists in Monday's 3-2 overtime victory against the Utah Mammoth. He assisted Andrew Burakovsky on a game-tying goal in the second period and added his second helper when Frank Nazar scored in overtime. With his 44th career multi-point game, Bedard tied Denis Savard for the most by a Blackhawks player at age 20 or younger. At the same time, he broke Eddie Olczyk's franchise record for most assists by a player aged 20 or younger. Bedard reached 117 career assists on Monday night. He's had 34 helpers this season, along with 26 goals in 51 games. The Mammoth will hope to do a better job containing Bedard in Thursday's rematch.

Oliver Moore Expected to Miss "Significant Time"

Chicago Blackhawks center Oliver Moore (lower body) is expected to miss "significant time," Brian Sandalow of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. The rookie forward suffered a lower-body injury in Sunday's loss to the Dallas Stars. Moore has appeared in 51 games this season, notching 19 points (five goals, 14 assists). He was replaced in the lineup by Sam Lafferty on Monday against Utah. With little time remaining in the season, Moore might be done for the rest of the year.

Spencer Knight Out Against Mammoth

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Spencer Knight (illness) won't play on Monday night against the Utah Mammoth. The team initially hoped to have Knight available for the contest after he sat out two games last week due to illness. Drew Commesso has replaced Knight on the roster and is expected to start on Monday. The 23-year-old has made two appearances in the NHL this season, going 1-1-0. He struggled in a 5-1 loss to Washington on Jan. 9 but bounced back with a shutout a day later in a 3-0 victory over Nashville. It will be a tough matchup for Commesso, as Utah has lost just seven times in 2026, scoring three or more goals in eight of its last 11 games.

Oliver Moore Ruled Out for Monday

Chicago Blackhawks center Oliver Moore (undisclosed) won't play on Monday against the Utah Mammoth, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. The 21-year-old appeared to have injured his right knee in Sunday's overtime defeat to the Dallas Stars. He was limited to 1:49 of ice time but managed to record an assist in Sunday's game. Serving as the third-line center, Moore has enjoyed one of his best spells of the season recently, getting on the score sheet in three of the last four games. In total, he has notched 19 points (five goals, 14 assists) in 51 games during his rookie year. The Blackhawks are carrying Sam Lafferty as an extra forward, and he could get action with Moore unavailable.

Spencer Knight Won't Play Sunday

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Spencer Knight (illness) didn't travel with the team for Sunday's contest against the Dallas Stars. Knight is battling an illness and was also unavailable for Friday night's action against the Vancouver Canucks. The team hopes Knight will feel better by Monday and be able to play in a matchup with the Utah Mammoth. The 24-year-old goalie has lost his last four starts but has performed well overall this season. Despite holding a losing record at 16-18-8, Knight has registered a 2.63 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage, and three shutouts. Arvid Soderblom and Drew Commesso are the options to start in Sunday's difficult matchup against the Stars, who have gone 10-0-1 across their last 11 games.

Teuvo Teravainen Pots Two Goals In Sunday's Win

Chicago Blackhawks winger Teuvo Teravainen netted two goals in Sunday's 4-0 victory over the Utah Mammoth. The Finnish veteran started the scoring with a power-play goal and iced the game with a short-handed tally. After shaking off health issues, Teravainen has been productive for the Blackhawks, averaging a point per game over his last five outings. However, he relies mostly on the power play to increase his point total, as four of Teravainen's last five points have come with the man advantage. As a result, Teravainen has more power-play points (15) than even-strength points (11) this season. He has totaled 12 goals and 15 assists in 53 appearances. With Chicago set to face Winnipeg and Vancouver next, two teams struggling to kill penalties, Teravainen's scoring surge could continue.

Arvid Soderblom Keeps Mammoth Quiet

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Arvid Soderblom shut out the Utah Mammoth with 22 saves in Sunday's 4-0 win. The Swedish netminder made his first start in six games, rebounding superbly from a 6-2 defeat he suffered against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Jan. 29. Soderblom improved to 6-9-2, posting his first shutout of the campaign. He has a 3.67 goals-against average and a .879 save percentage. Although Soderblom impressed on Sunday, Spencer Knight has the No. 1 spot in a firm grip in Chi-Town and should continue to get the bulk of the starts.

Wyatt Kaiser  • D  •  Blackhawks

Wyatt Kaiser Hurt Against Blue Jackets

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Wyatt Kaiser (lower body) exited Wednesday's 4-0 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first period. He appeared to injure his left leg after getting tangled with Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski. Chicago also finished the contest without forward Colton Dach (undisclosed), who left in the second frame. "If we were playing tomorrow, Dach wouldn't play, but he'd be kind of day to day-ish," Blackhawks head coach Jeff Blashill said postgame. "Kaiser would be out for a little bit. Kaiser, I don't want to put out an exact timeline. We'll know more after getting examined tomorrow, but we'll see after the break." Due to the Olympic break, the Blackhawks won't return to action until Feb. 25, giving Kaiser plenty of time to recover. However, he might still miss action if it's a major injury. The 23-year-old has registered 12 points (five goals, seven assists), 58 shots, 47 blocks, and 36 hits in 57 appearances this season.

Nick Foligno Set to Return Wednesday

Chicago Blackhawks forward Nick Foligno (undisclosed) is traveling with the team and is expected to play on Wednesday against his former team, the Columbus Blue Jackets. An undisclosed health issue has kept Foligno sidelined for two games. After being a regular 30-point scorer, Foligno is unlikely to even hit the 20-point mark in 2025-26. He has been limited to 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 32 outings. These days, his main assets are leadership and physicality, as Foligno averages 2.5 hits per game. Landon Slaggert will depart the lineup on Wednesday if Foligno is ready to play.

Teuvo Teravainen Set to Return Tuesday

Chicago Blackhawks winger Teuvo Teravainen (upper body) is expected to re-enter the lineup on Tuesday against the Minnesota Wild. He has been absent for six games due to an upper-body injury. On Monday, Teravainen practiced on the first line with Connor Bedard and Frank Nazar. He will also join the first power-play unit for Tuesday's tilt. 11 of Teravainen's 21 points this season have come with the man advantage this season. He has totaled four goals and seven assists on the power play. Overall, Teravainen has contributed nine goals and 12 assists in 45 contests. Given Minnesota's poor penalty kill (27th in the league), Teravainen could be poised for a big performance on Tuesday night. The Finnish veteran will take Nick Lardis' spot in the lineup after Chicago reassigned him to the minors on Monday.

Teuvo Teravainen Remains Out Sunday

Chicago Blackhawks winger Teuvo Teravainen (upper body) will miss his sixth consecutive game on Sunday against the Florida Panthers. He took part in the morning skate, wearing a non-contact jersey, indicating Teravainen is close to returning. However, the Finnish forward will miss at least one more game. Teravainen has had a decent campaign in 2025-26, recording 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 45 outings. He is expected to practice again on Monday, and his next opportunity to return will be a Central Division tilt against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday.

Frank Nazar, Andre Burakovsky Available for Blackhawks Thursday

Chicago Blackhawks forwards Frank Nazar (face) and Andre Burakovsky (illness) will hop back into the lineup on Thursday against the Carolina Hurricanes. Nazar has missed 14 games after taking a puck to the face, while Burakovsky wasn't available for Monday's win over the Winnipeg Jets due to illness. During the morning skate, Nazar worked as the second-line center, and Burakovsky joined Ryan Greene and Connor Bedard on the first line. The duo will also strengthen Chicago's power-play units. Nazar has managed 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 33 appearances this season. Burakovsky is Chicago's third-highest scorer, with 30 points (10 goals, 20 assists) in 43 outings.

Frank Nazar Returns to Practice

Chicago Blackhawks center Frank Nazar (face) rejoined practice on Sunday. He has been sidelined since Dec. 20 after taking a puck to the face in a matchup against the Calgary Flames. While Nazar is expected to miss his 14th consecutive game on Monday against the Winnipeg Jets, he could be an option to return to the lineup on Thursday versus the Carolina Hurricanes. Nazar has notched 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 33 outings this campaign. With Teuvo Teravainen (upper body) also out, Jason Dickinson and Ilya Mikheyev are currently part of the top-six group in Chicago, giving them additional fantasy value.

Teuvo Teravainen to Remain Out Monday

Chicago Blackhawks winger Teuvo Teravainen (upper body) will miss a third consecutive game on Monday against the Winnipeg Jets. The Finnish forward suffered an upper-body injury earlier this week. Although there's no set timetable for Teravainen's return, his next chance to make a comeback will be on Thursday night against the Carolina Hurricanes. Teravainen has tallied nine goals and 21 points in 45 outings this season, averaging 18:10 of ice time. Only Connor Bedard and Tyler Bertuzzi have recorded more power-play points among Blackhawks skaters than Teravainen, who has notched four goals and seven assists with the man advantage.

Teravainen is tied for fourth on Chicago's scoring charts, notching 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 45 games. Fortunately for the Blackhawks, Connor Bedard recently returned from a shoulder injury and will spearhead the attack on Saturday night, flanked by Ryan Greene and Andre Burakovsky on the first line.

Teuvo Teravainen to Miss at Least One Game

Chicago Blackhawks winger Teuvo Teravainen (upper body) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against the Calgary Flames. He suffered an upper-body injury during Monday's defeat to the Edmonton Oilers. Teravainen has contributed nine goals and 12 assists in 45 games this season, notching 11 of his 21 points on the power play. While Teravainen will exit the lineup on Thursday, the Blackhawks are poised to get back Connor Bedard (illness), who missed Monday's action. Connor Bedard Returns to Practice

Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard (illness) returned to practice on Wednesday. Bedard was absent from Monday's game against the Edmonton Oilers because of illness, but his participation in practice suggests he could return to the lineup for Thursday's tilt versus the Calgary Flames. Bedard has finished three of his last four appearances with multiple points and leads the Blackhawks with 46 points (19 goals, 27 assists) in 33 games. The 20-year-old recently returned from a shoulder injury, playing in only two games this month.

Teuvo Teravainen Makes Early Exit Monday

Chicago Blackhawks winger Teuvo Teravainen (upper body) didn't finish Monday's 4-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. He left the contest in the first period due to an upper-body injury. "He could be OK. I just don't know yet for sure. He couldn't finish the game," Blackhawks head coach Jeff Blashill said postgame. "We'll go under evaluation here tomorrow and it might be something where he's OK, might not be." Recent weeks have been rough for Teravainen from an offensive point of view, as the Finnish forward has been held scoreless in 16 of his last 20 appearances. He has recorded 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 45 games during the season. Chicago's frontline also lost Connor Bedard (illness) as a late scratch on Monday, while Frank Nazar (upper body) remains out of the lineup.

Louis Crevier  • D  •  Blackhawks

Louis Crevier Back for Blackhawks Monday

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Louis Crevier (illness) will be back in the lineup on Monday night against the Edmonton Oilers, Jack Bushman of Chicago Hockey Now reports. The Blackhawks' locker room dealt with a stomach bug last week, and it took Crevier out for two games. Kevin Korchinski was used as his replacement in the lineup. With Crevier available to return, Korchinski was reassigned to the minors. Crevier partners with Alex Vlasic on the first defensive pairing and has looked good in 2025-26. In 42 outings, Crevier has registered 14 points (four goals, 10 assists), 62 shots, 36 blocks, and 63 hits with a plus-two rating.

Ilya Mikheyev Expected to Play Saturday

Chicago Blackhawks right wing Ilya Mikheyev (illness) will return to the lineup on Saturday against the Nashville Predators, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. The Blackhawks have a stomach bug going through the locker room, and Mikheyev didn't play in Friday's loss to the Washington Capitals. Mikheyev has been sharp offensively in his recent appearances, averaging a point per game over four contests. Overall, he has recorded 14 points (eight goals, six assists) in 39 games this season. While Mikheyev has made a quick recovery, the Blackhawks may have other absences on Saturday.
