Colorado Avalanche forward Darren Helm (lower body) will return to the lineup for Wednesday's home game against Pittsburgh. The veteran has been out since Jan. 12 and health issues have limited him to only five appearances in total this season. Helm will replace Evan Rodrigues (concussion) in the lineup and skate as the fourth-line center. Alex Newhook is getting promoted to the second line, while Denis Malgin will get a chance to skate with the top line.
Colorado Avalanche forward Darren Helm (hip) will make his season debut Monday against the Golden Knights. His first appearance of the season got delayed because Helm underwent abductor surgery. The veteran will be a good addition to the Avalanche bottom six and the penalty kill. However, fantasy managers shouldn't expect a lot from Helm, who has never been a prolific scorer. He posted seven goals and eight assists in 68 games last season before going on to lift the Stanley Cup for the second time in his career. Colorado will also have Martin Kaut (upper body) back on Monday.
