Dallas Stars winger Denis Gurianov has been granted an indefinite leave of absence by the team for family reasons. The 25-year-old was already out of the lineup Monday versus Columbus and it's not known when he will be able to return. 2022-23 has been a very difficult campaign for Gurianov, as he has found himself in and out of the lineup, skating in only 25 of the team's 33 games. He has averaged 12:54 of ice time, and Gurianov sits on two goals and three assists. With Gurianov absent, Riley Tufte could be set for an extended run in the team. He made his season debut Monday after earning 16 points in 21 AHL appearances.
Dallas Stars winger Denis Gurianov will be rolling with the second line Saturday night against Montreal. The 25-year-old has started the 2022-23 campaign with a four-game scoring drought, but he impressed Thursday against Toronto and now gets a chance to play a bigger role. Ty Dellandrea has previously skated on the second line with Tyler Seguin and Mason Marchment, but he will move to the third line for Saturday's game. Gurianov is an enigmatic figure who boasts all the talent in the world but seems incapable of achieving any kind of consistency. He even spent a number of games as a healthy scratch last season. A meeting with a weak Montreal squad should be a good spot for him to start building momentum.
Dallas Stars winger Denis Gurianov will be back in the lineup Saturday against San Jose after missing Thursday's 3-2 overtime victory versus Anaheim as a healthy scratch. He'll skate with Tyler Seguin and Vladislav Namestnikov on the second line. With 29 points to his name in 61 outings, Gurianov hasn't done too badly this season, but he had just one point in five games before getting scratched and clearly needs to do more. Defenseman Thomas Harley also jumps back into the lineup, while Esa Lindell (upper body) remains sidelined.
Dallas Stars winger Denis Gurianov will watch Thursday's game against Anaheim in the press box as a healthy scratch. The 24-year-old has been cold for quite some time and head coach Rick Bowness gave him just 17 shifts in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Ducks. Gurianov boasts 11 goals and 29 points for the campaign in 61 games and has managed to add just six points to his tally this month. Alexander Radulov saw some extra minutes on Tuesday and might get a bigger role again. Meanwhile, Bowness has some thinking to do in defense as well, with Esa Lindell regarded as a game-time decision with an upper-body injury.
Dallas Stars winger Denis Gurianov (upper body) won't be able to help his team in Saturday's matchup against Nashville. Tanner Kero will play on the second line with Jamie Benn and Jason Dickinson. Gurianov scored five of his 11 goals last month, and he's registered 27 points through 50 games with 118 shots and 54 hits. Kero has been a depth piece for the Stars, featuring in only 33 games. However, he now has a good chance to add to the eight points he's picked up thus far. Anton Khudobin, who is 3-0-3 versus Nashville this season, starts between the pipes.
Dallas Stars winger Denis Gurianov ended a 15-game goalless streak on Saturday, notching the team's final marker in a 4-3 overtime loss to Columbus. The Russian winger, who netted 20 times last year, got off to a superb start to the season with three goals in four games, but it's been a big struggle for him ever since, and the team isn't doing particularly great either. Gurianov is up to five goals and 14 points for the season in 23 games with 60 shots and 29 hits. He'll face Columbus again on Sunday, before gearing up for a nice four-game week.
Dallas Stars forward Denis Gurianov extended his scoreless streak to five games in his team's 5-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night. The 23-year-old finished the night with a minus-two rating and failed to record a shot on goal for the second time in his past three games. After lighting it up with seven points (three goals, four assists) in his first four games, Gurianov has really cooled down with just two assists and 15 total shots over his past eight contests. With the Stars struggling as a whole (just one win in nine games), fantasy owners are probably safe to look for better alternatives on the waiver wire until the Russian sniper (30% owned in Yahoo! leagues) can start to find his game again.
Dallas Stars winger Denis Gurianov had two assists in Thursday's 5-3 loss to Carolina, adding two shots and two hits. Gurianov helped Mark Pysyk and Roope Hintz to score, before Miro Heiskanen and John Klingberg set up Joe Pavelski for a power-play goal. The Russian winger had only 33 points in 86 career games prior to the 2020-21 campaign, but he is quietly averaging a point per game this season in 11 outings. The 23-year-old has also produced 33 shots and 15 hits. His minus-four rating doesn't look nice, but he should be able to improve it.
Dallas Stars forward Denis Gurianov posted a goal and added a pair of assists as his team rolled over the visiting Detroit Red Wings 7-3 on Thursday. In addition to the three-point performance, the 23-year-old also contributed a plus-one rating, three shots and one block in 15:12 of ice time in the victory. Promoted to the Stars' top line in training camp, Gurianov is off to a blazing-hot start to his second full NHL season - posting seven points (three goals, four assists), three power-play points, 15 shots and three hits in four contests. Having led the Stars in goals in his rookie season in 2020-2021, the Russian sniper is proving that he's more than arrived and worth an add in all but shallow fantasy leagues.
