Johnny Gaudreau News
Columbus Blue Jackets winger Johnny Gaudreau tied a franchise record with a five-point effort in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win against San Jose. He became the fifth Blue Jackets player to register five points in a single game, and Gaudreau capped off his third career five-point game in style by scoring the game-winning goal in overtime. He finished with two goals in total and dished out three assists. Gaudreau had scored just once in his previous 12 appearances and it's been a disappointing debut campaign for him in Columbus, but he's still close to averaging a point per game, having produced 17 goals and 45 assists across 64 outings.
Columbus Blue Jackets left wing Johnny Gaudreau (lower body) will be back from a two-game absence Thursday against Minnesota. He will take his normal spot on the top line and the first power-play unit. Gaudreau grabbed points from three consecutive games before getting hurt, and he's amassed 15 goals and 37 assists in 55 games overall this season. Things haven't gone quite as planned for Johnny Hockey in his first year in Columbus, but he's always a threat on the ice and should be highly motivated to finish the campaign as best as he can.
Columbus Blue Jackets left wing Johnny Gaudreau is forced to sit out Saturday's action against Dallas with a lower-body injury. Johnny Hockey has so far been ever-present this season for the Blue Jackets and held a 349-game ironman streak overall. It's been a tough year for Columbus, but Gaudreau has done reasonably well during his debut campaign in Ohio, logging a team-high 52 points in 55 games. Kirill Marchenko, who has posted 14 goals and one assist in 32 appearances, is projected to replace Gaudreau on the first line Saturday.
Columbus Blue Jackets left wing Johnny Gaudreau scored his 14th goal of the season Tuesday against Washington, pushing the game into overtime where his crew had to take another loss with a 4-3 score. The Blue Jackets sit bottom of the league with only 15 wins and 34 points from 51 games. Gaudreau's addition hasn't had the desired effect on the team's fortunes, but Johnny Hockey has at least had some personal success lately, collecting eight points from the last seven games. However, it's been a down year for the silky winger overall, with 49 points in 51 games.
