Jonathan Dahlen Returns To Sharks Lineup

San Jose Sharks forward Jonathan Dahlen (face) will be back in action on Saturday against Dallas. He took a puck to the face a couple of weeks ago and has missed five games. Dahlen is expected to team up with Logan Couture and Rudolfs Balcers on the second line. The 24-year-old Swede has gone cold during the latter half of the season after having a solid start. He's on 12 goals and 22 points with 52 games played. Dahlen is also set to roll with the second power-play unit in Saturday's contest.

Jonathan Dahlen Exits Early After Getting Hit By A Puck

San Jose Sharks forward Jonathan Dahlen took a puck to the face in Sunday's 4-2 win over Arizona and wasn't able to complete the game. He ended up logging 12:20 of ice time before exiting in the third period. There haven't been any updates on his status yet. Dahlen has enjoyed a solid rookie campaign with 12 goals and 22 points posted across 52 outings. The Sharks continue their season on Tuesday against Calgary, and if Dahlen isn't available for the game, head coach Bob Boughner has to find a new right winger for his top line.

Jonathan Dahlen Returns To San Jose Lineup Sunday

San Jose Sharks center Jonathan Dahlen will be on the top line Sunday as they face the Chicago Blackhawks. There was some talk Dahlen may not play. However, he will play on the right wing centered by Logan Couture. Timo Meier will be on his opposite side. That should set up Dahlen well. The forward has seven goals on 31 shots in 16 games this season. Overall, he has nine points while playing just over 14 minutes a night. Dahlen missed three games after banging up his arm on the 20th versus Washington. The center plays on the top power-play and does not kill penalties so he should have some chances.

Rudolfs Balcers Joins First Line With Jonathan Dahlen Out

San Jose Sharks winger Rudolfs Balcers will replace Jonathan Dahlen (upper body) on the top line Monday night against Carolina. Dahlen, who's tied for the team lead with seven goals, got injured in Saturday's 4-0 loss to Washington and is considered day-to-day. The Sharks are hoping to get him back later in the week. Until then, Balcers finds himself in a great spot to perform, as San Jose's first line has worked very well together this season. His new linemates Timo Meier and Logan Couture have combined for 29 points. Balcers boasts seven points for the season in 15 games with 32 shots and 35 hits.

Jonathan Dahlen Scores Seventh Goal Of The Season

San Jose Sharks forward Jonathan Dahlen recorded his seventh goal of the campaign in Thursday's 4-1 loss to St. Louis, tying Tomas Hertl for the team lead. He was nicely set up by Timo Meier, who recorded his ninth assist and 15th point of the season. Dahlen went three games without a point prior to Thursday, but he's having a nice year on the top line with Meier and Logan Couture. The 23-year-old has nine points for his rookie campaign in 15 outings.

Jonathan Dahlen Gets Two Goals Tuesday Night

San Jose Sharks forward Jonathan Dahlen scored his first two career goals in Tuesday's 5-0 road win at Montreal, beating Jake Allen twice inside the opening 3:36. He was plus-two for the game and finished with four shots in 14:42. The 23-year-old has started life in the NHL on San Jose's top line with Logan Couture and Timo Meier, who assisted Dahlen on both of his goals and also picked up a power-play marker. Dahlen mostly went undrafted in fantasy hockey this year, despite shining in the Swedish league the past couple of seasons. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on him.
