Jonathan Dahlen News
San Jose Sharks forward Jonathan Dahlen (face) will be back in action on Saturday against Dallas. He took a puck to the face a couple of weeks ago and has missed five games. Dahlen is expected to team up with Logan Couture and Rudolfs Balcers on the second line. The 24-year-old Swede has gone cold during the latter half of the season after having a solid start. He's on 12 goals and 22 points with 52 games played. Dahlen is also set to roll with the second power-play unit in Saturday's contest.
San Jose Sharks forward Jonathan Dahlen took a puck to the face in Sunday's 4-2 win over Arizona and wasn't able to complete the game. He ended up logging 12:20 of ice time before exiting in the third period. There haven't been any updates on his status yet. Dahlen has enjoyed a solid rookie campaign with 12 goals and 22 points posted across 52 outings. The Sharks continue their season on Tuesday against Calgary, and if Dahlen isn't available for the game, head coach Bob Boughner has to find a new right winger for his top line.
San Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson (forearm) and forward Jonathan Dahlen (undisclosed) look set to rejoin the lineup on Thursday against the Kings. Karlsson last played on Jan. 20, while Dahlen has missed the last five games. The latter appears set for first-line duty after practicing with Timo Meier and Logan Couture. He had a lot of success on the line early in the campaign and will hope to end a six-game dry spell on Thursday. Karlsson has been in fine form with 26 points in 33 games, and he's already crushed it against the Kings once this season, racking up three assists in a 6-2 win just before getting hurt.
San Jose Sharks center Jonathan Dahlen will be on the top line Sunday as they face the Chicago Blackhawks. There was some talk Dahlen may not play. However, he will play on the right wing centered by Logan Couture. Timo Meier will be on his opposite side. That should set up Dahlen well. The forward has seven goals on 31 shots in 16 games this season. Overall, he has nine points while playing just over 14 minutes a night. Dahlen missed three games after banging up his arm on the 20th versus Washington. The center plays on the top power-play and does not kill penalties so he should have some chances.
