Blues
St. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy (lower body) will miss a second consecutive contest on Saturday versus Carolina. He is also considered questionable for the next game, scheduled for Tuesday night against Winnipeg. Leddy averaged 22:09 of ice time on St. Louis' first defensive pairing before landing on the shelf. He was replaced in the role by Ryan Suter in Thursday's 1-0 overtime victory against the Islanders. Suter logged 25:10 of action but didn't do a lot next to Colton Parayko, finishing with one shot on goal, two blocks, and one hit. Pierre-Olivier Joseph has filled the open spot in the lineup and logged 10:51 on the third defensive pairing Thursday night.

Nick Leddy Unavailable On Thursday
St. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy (lower body) has been ruled out for Thursday's contest against the Islanders. He played through a lower-body injury on Tuesday versus Minnesota and couldn't practice on Wednesday. Ryan Suter is expected to step into a first-pairing role, while Pierre-Olivier Joseph will re-enter the lineup on the third pairing. Leddy is considered day-to-day and will have his first opportunity to return to action on Saturday versus Carolina.

Nick Leddy Troubled By A Lower-Body Injury
St. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy was unable to practice on Wednesday due to a lower-body injury. Leddy logged close to 21 minutes of action against Minnesota on Tuesday. However, according to Blues head coach Drew Bannister, Leddy was already hurt prior to Tuesday's game. Bannister considers him day-to-day, and Leddy might be forced to sit out Thursday's matchup against the Islanders. Leddy's absence would push Ryan Suter to a top-pairing role. Suter has tallied one goal with six shots and five blocks in four games this season while averaging 16:02 of ice time. The move up the lineup will boost Suter's fantasy appeal, but the 39-year-old veteran is far from the player he used to be.

Nick Leddy Returns From An Upper-Body Injury
St. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy (upper body) is available again Saturday against Tampa Bay after missing four games. Leddy dropped out of the lineup last weekend with an upper-body injury but has overcome the issue pretty quickly. The veteran will join his usual partner Justin Faulk on the second defensive pairing. Leddy is having a quiet fantasy season with 11 points, 43 shots, 30 hits and 48 blocks in 39 games, but he is a big piece for the Blues defensive line, averaging 21:15 of ice time per game. Steven Santini is giving up his spot in the lineup to Leddy.

Nick Leddy Unavailable Saturday
St. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy will miss Saturday's contest against Montreal with a lower-body injury. According to head coach Craig Berube, Leddy is carrying a lingering issue and he needs some time off. It's possible that he will miss multiple games, as St. Louis will be back in action again on Sunday. The veteran blue-liner exits the lineup with a seven-game scoreless spell and has yet to get a goal in 39 games this season. He has 11 assists to his name with 30 hits and 48 blocks. Calle Rosen will partner Justin Faulk in Leddy's absence Saturday and Steven Santini will fill the empty spot in the lineup.

Nick Leddy Collects Three Assists In Vital Win
St. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy tallied three assists as the team fought off elimination on Wednesday against Colorado with a 5-4 overtime win. The veteran blue-liner grabbed helpers on both of the team's first two goals when St. Louis started a comeback from a 3-0 deficit and combined with Ivan Barbashev to set up Tyler Bozak for the game-winner 3:38 into overtime. Leddy doubled his points tally for the postseason with the effort. He's been quietly very effective for the Blues, recording a plus-five rating across eight outings. The 31-year-old sits on the first defensive pairing and plays in all situations.

Nick Leddy Returns To Action On Tuesday
St. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy (upper body) will be back in the lineup for Game 5 against Minnesota on Tuesday. The veteran rearguard has missed the last three games. He'll skate with Colton Parayko on the first defensive pairing. Leddy joined St. Louis from Detroit in March and had a fairly decent run with the team at the end of the regular season, registering eight points with 18 blocks in 20 outings. The Blues defense also gets Robert Bortuzzo (upper body) back on Tuesday, while Marco Scandella (lower body) won't be available.

Nick Leddy Still Out On Friday
St. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy (upper body) will miss a second consecutive game on Friday against Minnesota. The veteran blue-liner sustained an injury from an awkward fall into the boards in Game 1 and it resulted in him getting sidelined. Leddy, who had eight points and 19 blocks in 20 games with the Blues during the regular season, was at least a game-time decision for Game 2, so he should have a chance to return to the lineup in the series. The Blues defense is hurting pretty badly at the minute, with Robert Bortuzzo (upper body) also out on Friday and Marco Scandella (lower body) boasting a game-time decision tag.

Nick Leddy Returns For Blues
St. Louis Blues defenseman Nick Leddy (eye) will be back in action on Tuesday against Boston. The veteran rearguard sat out Sunday's 8-3 win over Nashville after taking a high stick near his eye on Saturday against Minnesota, which resulted in him having some troubles with his vision. Calle Rosen came in for Leddy and had a monster game with two goals and an assist, but he's set to come out of the lineup again on Tuesday. Leddy, who was acquired from Detroit last month, has skated in 14 games for the Blues, tallying seven points with 12 blocks and a plus-four rating. He's benefitted from skating with Justin Faulk, who's been very hot offensively in recent weeks with 13 points in 11 games.

Nick Leddy Dealt To Detroit
The New York Islanders traded defenseman Nick Leddy to the Red Wings for veteran forward Richard Panik and a 2021 second-round pick. Leddy spent the last seven years as an Islander after playing the early part of his career in Chicago. The Minnesota native has compiled 243 points in 518 career regular season games. He should be a player to keep an eye on for fantasy hockey next season as he will most likely be the Red Wings top defenseman.
