Joel Hofer Commits to Blues for Two More Years

St. Louis Blues goaltender Joel Hofer has avoided restricted free agency by signing a new two-year deal with the team. He will earn $6.8 million over the next couple of campaigns. Hofer has provided solid goaltending for the Blues since making his NHL debut during the 2021-21 season. He compiled a 16-8-3 record during the 2024-25 campaign, allowing 2.64 goals with a .904 save percentage and one shutout. Hofer saw quite a bit of action behind Jordan Binnington, making 28 starts, and is likely to have a similar workload next season.

Dylan Holloway On The Mend Following Surgery

St. Louis Blues forward Dylan Holloway (undisclosed) underwent surgery and was not expected back for the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, according to general manager Doug Armstrong. The 23-year-old is on track to be healthy for the start of 2025-26. After inking a two-year, $4.58 million offer sheet, Holloway had his first year with the Blues this season. It was an impressive campaign, as Holloway more than tripled his career points tally, notching 26 goals and 37 assists in 77 contests. The former University of Wisconsin standout was an afterthought in Edmonton but appears to have found the ideal situation to enjoy a highly productive NHL career moving forward.

Torey Krug Not Expected To Continue NHL Career

St. Louis Blues defenseman Torey Krug (ankle) has likely played his final NHL game. "I'm not expecting him to play again," Blues general manager Doug Armstrong said about Krug on Tuesday. "Now, he's hoping that I'm wrong, I'm hoping that I'm wrong and he's pushing, but the surgery that he had, it was very, very invasive." Krug, who turned 34 last month, missed the entire 2024-25 campaign after being diagnosed with pre-arthritic changes in his left ankle. During his time with the Blues and Boston Bruins, Krug has made 778 career regular-season appearances, recording 483 points (89 goals, 394 assists). He signed a seven-year, $45.5 million contract with the Blues in 2020.

Pavel Buchnevich Collects An Assist In Game 7 Loss

St. Louis Blues forward Pavel Buchnevich registered an assist with four shots on goal in Sunday's 4-3 Game 7 loss to the Winnipeg Jets. Buchnevich and Colton Parayko combined to help Jordan Kyrou on the scoreboard with only 70 seconds played in the contest. The Russian forward finished the seven-game series with five assists and additionally recorded three goals, all of which were scored in a single game. Overall, it was not a particularly successful series for Buchnevich, as the Jets held him to just one point in the last three games. The season, in general, did not go well for Buchnevich either, as he was limited to 57 points (20 goals, 37 assists) in 76 games, failing to extend his streak of 60-point campaigns to four years.

Jordan Kyrou Nets Early Goal In Game 7

St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou opened the scoring in Sunday's 4-3 double-overtime loss in Game 7 against the Winnipeg Jets. The 27-year-old was on target 1:10 into the game, scoring the fastest goal to begin a Game 7 in franchise history. Following Mathieu Joseph's effort, the Blues were soon up 2-0 and took a 3-1 lead into the third period, but the season ended for the team in the first round. Kyrou will be disappointed with his efforts in the matchup against the Jets. He potted three goals in the series but did not register a single assist. The Blues forward cooled off following a prolific regular season, during which he recorded at least 30 goals and 30 assists for a third consecutive year.

Tyler Tucker  • D  •  Blues

Tyler Tucker Remains Out Sunday

St. Louis Blues defenseman Tyler Tucker (lower body) will miss a third consecutive game on Sunday against the Winnipeg Jets. Tucker continues to nurse a lower-body ailment that he suffered a week ago in Game 4 of the series. This will end up being his last appearance of the season if the Blues do not win on Sunday night. Due to Tucker's absence, Ryan Suter is set to continue as Nick Leddy's partner on the third defensive pairing. Suter picked up his first point of the postseason with an assist in Friday's 5-2 win. Over four appearances, he has also recorded seven blocks and one shot on goal.

Jordan Binnington  • G  •  Blues

Jordan Binnington Outstanding At Home Again

St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington saved 21 of 23 shots in Friday's 5-2 victory against the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets only managed to beat him with power-play goals. Home ice advantage has been huge in the series, and Binnington's numbers illustrate this well. The Blues No. 1 has won all three home games while allowing five total goals, but he has yet to taste victory on the road, giving up 10 goals over three games. With the series now heading back to Winnipeg for Game 7, the pressure will be on Binnington to break the trend. A victory on Sunday night would tie him with Vincent Riendeau for the most wins among Blues goalies in elimination scenarios. Binnington improved to 4-2 on Friday in games when facing elimination.

Cam Fowler  • D  •  Blues

Cam Fowler Notches 10th Postseason Point

St. Louis Blues defenseman Cam Fowler continued his prolific 2025 postseason run with a goal in Friday's 5-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets. Colton Parayko and Alexey Toropchenko set him up for the Blues' fourth goal of the game at the 13:40 mark in the second period. The Jets have yet to keep Fowler off the score sheet, as the 33-year-old has become the first blue-liner in Blues history to score at least 10 points in a single playoff series. He boasts two goals and eight assists. Only Edmonton's Connor McDavid (11) has scored more points this postseason. With Fowler on fire, the Blues have recovered from a 2-0 deficit in the series and have a chance to move on to the second round by winning Game 7 on Sunday.

Philip Broberg Records Two Points In Friday's Win

St. Louis Blues defenseman Philip Broberg was one of the main protagonists in Friday's 5-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets, finishing the contest with a goal and an assist. He opened the scoring with a little over six minutes played in the first period and assisted Nathan Walker on St. Louis' second goal in the second frame. Broberg tied for the game high with four shots on goal while blocking one shot in 18:43 of ice time. Although Broberg averaged close to 0.5 points per game in the regular season, he had not managed to score in the first five games against the Jets. Still, he has been a valuable asset for the Blues, logging a league-best plus-nine rating in the postseason.

Tyler Tucker To Remain Out On Friday

St. Louis Blues defenseman Tyler Tucker (lower body) did not skate on Friday morning and is expected to miss a second consecutive game in the first-round series against the Winnipeg Jets. The 25-year-old suffered a lower-body injury in Game 4. With him out, the Blues reinserted Ryan Suter back into the lineup for Game 5. Overall, the veteran rearguard has made three appearances in the series, recording four blocks and a minus-two rating while averaging 16:30 of action. Suter's best days are clearly behind him, and DFS managers should look for other options.

Tyler Tucker Ruled Out For Game 5

St. Louis Blues defenseman Tyler Tucker (lower body) will miss Wednesday's Game 5 against the Winnipeg Jets. The 25-year-old sustained a lower-body injury on Sunday in Game 4 of the series. Tucker has made his first three career playoff appearances this year, registering one goal, four shots, and 12 hits. Ryan Suter is set to fill Tucker's spot in the lineup on Wednesday. The 40-year-old veteran has been a healthy scratch for two games. He picked up three blocks with a minus-one rating across the first two games of the matchup. These days, Suter offers very little going forward, but Blues head coach Jim Montgomery has called him the team's "No. 1 penalty-killing defenseman."

Tyler Tucker Makes Early Exit Sunday

St. Louis Blues defenseman Tyler Tucker (lower body) exited early on Sunday against the Winnipeg Jets and may face an extended absence. Tucker, who logged the game-winning goal in Sunday's 5-1 victory, appeared to have hurt his right leg late in the third period. He needed help to get off the ice. While there were no updates on him after the game, Tucker is likely to miss the remainder of the series, according to Lou Korac of The Hockey News. Tucker entered the lineup for Game 2 and has recorded four shots on goal and 12 hits while averaging 14:23 of ice time in the postseason. Veteran Ryan Suter, who has been a healthy scratch for two games, may have the opportunity to rejoin the action in his absence.

Neighbours tied the game at one near the end of the first period and collected two assists in the contest. The 23-year-old also had three hits in the game, logging 15:43 of action. The Blues offense has finally clicked in the series, and Neighbours has been one of the main men in attack. With four games played, he has tallied one goal and four assists in the matchup. With scoring machine Jordan Kyrou on the same line as him, Neighbours is perfectly set up for further success against the Jets.

Jordan Binnington Makes 30 Saves In Game 4 Victory

St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington saved 30 of 31 shots in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets. The Blues managed to tie the first-round series at two despite falling behind in Sunday's game. Kyle Connor beat Binnington in the first period, but he rebounded well from the setback, finishing with 19 consecutive saves. Binnington allowed six goals in the first two games of the series, but he stifled the Jets offense on home ice, giving up three goals in two contests. The Blues No. 1 now holds a 2.29 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage for the playoffs. With the series shifting back to Winnipeg for Game 5, Binnington must prove that he can also do the business for St. Louis on the road.

Cam Fowler Finishes Thursday's Win With Five Points

St. Louis Blues defenseman Cam Fowler had a special performance in Thursday's Game 3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets, recording one goal and four assists in a 7-2 win. He set a new franchise record for the most points in a playoff game by a defenseman and became the ninth blue-liner in league history to put up five or more points in a postseason outing. Fowler, who collected three helpers on the power play, did his damage in 19:03 of ice time. His contributions included two blocks and two hits. The postseason has started extremely well for Fowler, as he is tied for the scoring lead with seven points (one goal, six assists) in three games.

Robert Thomas Posts Four Assists In Game 3 Win

St. Louis Blues center Robert Thomas finished Thursday's 7-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets with four assists. He picked up three even-strength helpers before capping things off with a power-play assist late in the game. Thomas' efforts had been underwhelming in the first couple of games in the series, as he notched only one point with a minus-four rating, but he more than made up for it on Thursday night. The 25-year-old now sits on five points (one goal, four assists) through three postseason games. Including the regular season, Thomas has recorded 47 points (14 goals, 33 assists) in 37 home outings this term. The Blues faithful will hope to see another big effort from him at the Enterprise Center on Sunday.

Buchnevich scored twice within the first 3:11 of play and completed his first career playoff hat trick early in the third period. The 30-year-old also made his physical presence known, recording six hits in 18:58 of ice time. Robert Thomas Good To Go Saturday

St. Louis Blues center Robert Thomas (lower body) practiced on Friday and will be in the lineup for Saturday's playoff opener against the Winnipeg Jets. Thomas' status for the game was initially uncertain after he sustained a lower-body injury in Tuesday's regular-season finale against the Utah Hockey Club. Thomas will head into the playoffs in red-hot form, having capped off the regular season with a 12-game point streak. He tied his career high with 60 assists and registered 81 points in 70 games during the campaign. The 25-year-old will continue to play a major role in the Blues offense in the playoffs as a member of the first line and the top power-play unit.

Pavel Buchnevich Scores Goal, Adds Two Helpers

St. Louis Blues left wing Pavel Buchnevich tallied three points during their 6-1 victory over the Utah Hockey Club on Tuesday evening. Buchnevich did all of his damage in the opening frame. He first tallied the secondary assist on Brayden Schenn's goal. Later, he would find the back of the net on a snapshot, which would eventually serve as the game-winner. He would then add his second helper, this time a secondary assist on Jimmy Snuggerud's power-play goal. This was Buchnevich's second three-point outing over his last three contests. Over his last eight contests, Buchnevich has found the back of the net six times and added four helpers. He will look to carry this momentum into the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Philip Broberg Misses Saturday's Contest

St. Louis Blues defenseman Philip Broberg (personal) will not play on Saturday against the Seattle Kraken. He has left the team and returned to St. Louis for personal reasons. The Blues have received good value for money after signing Broberg to a two-year, $9.16 million offer sheet last summer, as the 23-year-old has recorded 29 points (eight goals, 21 assists) and 98 blocks in 67 games with a plus-21 rating, which ties him for the team-high. Matt Kessel will play instead of Broberg in Saturday's game. Kessel's work on the offensive end has been limited to three assists in 29 appearances, and he is unlikely to make an impact in fantasy hockey.
