He formed a productive line with Yegor Sharangovich and Janne Kuokkanen and was joined by the in-form Jesper Bratt for Tuesday's action. The Swedish speedster has finished pointless just once in his past nine appearances. Zajac heads into a two-game set against Washington averaging exactly 0.5 points per game in 30 outings this season. He's been a very good deep league asset lately, providing a bit of everything.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native, has struggled offensively this year, scoring just one goal and two assists before Tuesday's game. He is averaging the lowest amount of ice time of his career at 15:41 per game. New Jersey is quickly spinning out of control losing, six of seven contests. They are in for another uphill battle on Thursday, having to play against the New York Islanders.
