Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 11

Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 11

I am back! I was gone for a week because I was serving my country, working at the polls. And like the elections, the NFL competition is getting hotter, and there are so many awesome players making an impact in the game.

Our Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 11 article will give you everything you would have missed from my Week 10 article that I did not write. The fantasy football playoffs are around the corner, and some of us are fighting just to stay alive. Those miraculous comebacks are extraordinary, and every single fantasy point matters.

That is where I come in. I have been playing fantasy football for 10 years, and this is my most interesting season yet, as I am balancing a couple of leagues while also giving out advice that has been, for the most part, solid. Of course, things don’t always work out, and that is okay.

You should check out the fantasy football points team ranks. Likewise, we have a Week 10 recap that will tell you everything that happened last weekend. Optimize your lineups with our NFL Optimizer. It will help you organize your lineups.

Week 11 Starts

*Start Stat Percentage, Via Yahoo

Brock Purdy

San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks (95% started)

Brock Purdy went off on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, going 25 for 36 with 353 yards while also flinging two touchdowns to finish with 23 fantasy points. He will get another good matchup as the 49ers host the Seattle Seahawks. Purdy has Christian McCaffrey back, which opened up the offense. Therefore, he will find some room to pick apart a Seattle secondary that is among the bottom 10 in points allowed to quarterbacks.

Kareem Hunt

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills (87% started)

Kareem Hunt will probably be a big factor in what likely will be the best game of the week. While I expect the Bills to win, I also expect Hunt to have a large role. The Bills have allowed the second most points to running backs. Yes, they kept Jonathan Taylor out of the endzone on Sunday. But they still allowed him to score 14.2 fantasy points without a score. This defense can be exploited, and Hunt will be ready to do it.

David Montgomery

Detroit Lions vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (97% started)

David Montgomery struggled on Sunday, running 12 times for 32 yards while catching one pass for 24 yards. Still, he scored a touchdown to salvage his day and finish with 12.6 fantasy points. Montgomery has a juicy matchup this weekend as he faces the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points to running backs. Yes, he does share a backfield with Jahmyr Gibbs. But Montgomery has still scored eight touchdowns this season and can almost always get some fantasy points. Start him this weekend.

George Pickens

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens (95% started)

George Pickens has found chemistry with Russell Wilson, scoring his second touchdown in three games. Furthermore, he has gone over 20 fantasy points twice in that span. Pickens will get a great matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, who are the worst in allowing fantasy points to wide receivers. Somehow, this is the first divisional game of the year for the Steelers, and they will look to capitalize off their chances as they utilize Pickens as their top guy.

Calvin Ridley

Tennessee Titans vs. Minnesota Vikings (81% started)

Calvin Ridley had another good fantasy week, catching five of nine targets for 84 yards and two touchdowns to finish with 25.4 points. Now, he will face the Minnesota Vikings, who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers. While the Titans are an awful team, Ridley has been solid, going over 20 fantasy points in two of the past three games. His chances will increase if the Vikings take an early lead in this game.

Dawson Knox

Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs (1% started)

You could also include Dalton Kincaid here if he plays. The Chiefs are unbeaten right now, yet they have been soft against tight ends. Overall, they have allowed over 15 fantasy points to the tight end position in two of the past four games. The Chiefs have one weakness in their defense, and it is guarding the tight end, as they have given up the second-most fantasy points to the position. The Bills might have trouble running the ball. However, they will have no problem getting the ball to the tight end.

Week 11 Sits

Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears (94% started)

Jordan Love has had two weeks to prepare for this. However, he has also struggled over his past two games, combining for just 16.6 fantasy points over two games against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions. If there is one thing working in Love’s favor, it’s the fact that he did well against the Bears in fantasy last season, going off for 23 fantasy points at Soldier Field and 18.5 at Lambeau. However, this Chicago defense is significantly better and is the top defense in fantasy against quarterbacks. Love’s struggles may continue at Soldier Field next Sunday.

James Cook

Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs (98% started)

James Cook had another productive day, running the ball 19 times for 80 yards and a touchdown. He also added a catch for five yards. Ultimately, this gave him 15.5 fantasy points. Cook will have a significantly tougher assignment this weekend, facing the Chiefs, who have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Therefore, it will be tough to trust him unless the Bills get more creative with his usage.

Chase Brown

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Los Angeles Chargers (89% started)

Chase Brown is on fire, going over 20 fantasy points in two consecutive games. However, that might be tougher to accomplish this weekend as they face the Los Angeles Chargers, who have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Brown has hit double-digit fantasy points six times. Yet, he may struggle to get there this weekend unless he can get into the endzone.

Josh Downs

Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Jets (78% started)

Josh Downs has been consistent, getting double-digit points in three consecutive games. Additionally, he has accomplished this in seven games this season. But this is a tough battle for Downs, as he faces the New York Jets, who don’t allow many chances to wide receivers. While the Jets have started to crack recently, they will still be a formidable opponent, and Downs might regress this weekend, making him a dangerous play.

Jayden Reed

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears (93% started)

Jayden Reed has had two weeks to prepare for this showdown with the Chicago Bears, as the Green Bay Packers were on a bye week. Yet, this game is as tough as any for a wide receiver. The Bears are stingy against wide receivers. Plus, there might be rain on Sunday (it currently says PM showers), which could make things even more brutal. I would fade Reed this weekend against a tough defense and unpredictable weather.

Evan Engram

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Detroit Lions (92% started)

Evan Engram has been a PPR machine, gathering 10 or more fantasy points in three consecutive weeks. Regardless, he will face a difficult matchup this weekend as he faces the Detroit Lions, who are the second-best team in the NFL at covering the tight end. Engram might get over 10 points if Mac Jones (or Trevor Lawrence) can force the ball to him. However, getting into the endzone will be difficult.
