DFS NBA Picks
Wednesday night is here and it is time to get some DFS lineups in. We have a nine-game slate tonight, which gives us a plethora of players to work with it.
For the DFS projections and pricing, we will be using FanDuel and DraftKings.
NBA Quick Links
Point Guard
Jalen Brunson (FD: $7,800, DK: $8,200): Jalen Brunson is playing at an All-Star level this entire season. He is averaging a career-high in points per game, but there are a few point guards that cost more than him tonight. Players, such as Tyrese Maxey and Terry Rozier, cost more than Burnson. However, those players are hit-or-miss in my eyes for their games tonight. Brunson is a consistent 30+ fantasy points player. Brunson is one of the better point guards on the board for the slate.
Dennis Schroder (FD: $6,300, DK: $6,000): We know the Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers are awful defensively, but the Atlanta Hawks are the third worst defense. Dennis Schroder is facing his old team and is hoping to find some positive consistency. The recent Knicks game was the Schroder that started off the season, but he has been struggling as of late. However, I think Schroder is going to continue the bounce back against a putrid Hawks defense.
Shooting Guard
Mikal Bridges (FD: $8,000): Mikal Bridges is coming off a great start to the month with a 42-point performance. Bridges is hitting his stride after playing of a somewhat background role to Cam Thomas earlier in the season. He should be able to continue on this hot stretch against a Phoenix Suns that is playing the second night of a back-to-back.
Malik Beasley (FD: $5,600, DK: $5,400): The Milwaukee Bucks get to play the Indiana Pacers and get their revenge for their close loss in the In-Season Tournament semifinals. Malik Beasley was one of the players that struggled and looked out of place in that game. Outside of the game, Beasley has been pretty good as of late. With his cheap price and great matchup, it is a good idea to take a flier on Beasley.
Small Forward
Brandon Ingram (FD & DK: $7,800): Brandon Ingram is playing against the Washington Wizards. I could leave it at that. However, Ingram’s last two games have not been up to his standards. Tonight is the best opportunity for him to get right against one of the worst teams we have seen in a few seasons.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. (FD: $5,500, DK: $5,700): The steal of the NBA draft is Jaime Jaquez Jr. He has been the third best rookie thus far behind two of the heavy hitters. Jaquez is a vital member for this Miami Heat team that is vying for a title. He is a very consistent player for the season and is a nice cheap option for your DFS lineup.
Power Forward
Scottie Barnes (FD: $8,900): One of the most under-the-radar stories is Scottie Barnes playing at an All-Star level. He has been phenomenal, as he has cemented himself as the best player on the Toronto Raptors. The stretch as of late has been even better, which included a 30-point triple-double a few night ago. I already touched on the Atlanta Hawks’ defense, which should give Barnes the opportunity for a huge night.
Obi Toppin (FD: $5,000, DK: $4,900): In my opinion, Obi Toppin is one of the better value plays on the board. Toppin is not going to wow you by any means on the stat sheet, but he could be a factor in certain matchups with this being one of them. The game is going to be high-scoring with tons of running, which bodes well for Toppin. Furthermore, we already saw him have a 14 point, six-rebound performance a few games ago against this same Bucks team. At $5,000 or less, why not take a look at Toppin.
Center
Joel Embiid (FD: $12,600, DK: $11,800): Joel Embiid is the most expensive player on the board, but for good reason. He is the leading scorer once again and has even added some playmaking to his numbers. The Detroit Pistons are as bad as one can be. They are in the midst of a 20 game losing streak with no end in sight. Embiid could easily not have to play in the fourth quarter, but still dominate for three quarters. A pricy option, but one that can lead you to victory rather easily.
Orlando Robinson (FD: $5,200, DK: $5,600): The Miami Heat are still without Bam Adebayo, which means Orlando Robinson will have to play in place of their All-Star center. Robinson has done some good with the new found minutes, as he has had four straight games of at least 20 fantasy points. Robinson is extremely cheap and could be a good addition if you splurge at other positions.
