Tyrese Maxey Off the Injury Report for Friday Night

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (illness) isn't listed on the injury report heading into Friday's matchup with the Knicks. He was having an exceptional year before an illness forced him to miss the last two games, averaging a career-high 31.5 points. Without question, that type of production has put him in the MVP conversation. Maxey is always a must-start in any fantasy setup. However, he might be even more potent offensively if Karl-Anthony Towns (knee), Josh Hart (abdomen), and Mitchell Robinson (ankle), who are all sidelined on Thursday against Indiana, aren't able to get back on the floor.

Tyrese Maxey Will Miss Another Game on Sunday Night

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (illness) won't play on Sunday against the Hawks, his second-straight absence. He's under the weather, so his next chance to suit up will be on Friday night versus the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. With Joel Embiid (knee) questionable, Philly may need to rely more on Paul George and VJ Edgecombe to handle most of the work offensively. Quentin Grimes, coming off a 10-point, nine-rebound, one-block, one-steal outing in Friday's win over the Indiana Pacers, will presumably remain in the starting lineup.

Tyrese Maxey Trending Toward Second Straight Absence

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (illness) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Atlanta. If he sits again, Quentin Grimes should remain in the starting lineup and hold streaming value for threes with a chance at secondary playmaking after posting 10 points, nine rebounds, and four assists in 39 minutes Friday. VJ Edgecombe stays locked into a heavy run and just went for 22 points and five assists. Jared McCain can see a small bump off the bench, too.

Tyrese Maxey Under the Weather on Friday

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (illness) won't play on Friday against Indiana. The 25-year-old is in the MVP conversation this season. Unfortunately, he'll miss his first game of the 2025 campaign on Friday due to an illness. His next chance to suit up will be on Sunday in Atlanta. In the meantime, Jared McCain or Quentin Grimes could find themselves in the starting lineup, although both players should see considerably more minutes as well as an increase in scoring opportunities regardless of their roles.

Tyrese Maxey Dealing With Illness But Expected to Play Friday

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey (illness) is listed as probable for Friday's contest against the Indiana Pacers. He has landed on the injury report with an illness; however, the probable designation suggests that Maxey is expected to be in the lineup. Maxey had led the Sixers' offense all season, averaging 31.5 points and 7.2 assists. Philadelphia faces a pace-up spot on Friday against a defensively-challenged team, putting Maxey in a great position to stuff the stat sheet.

Tyrese Maxey Will Play Tuesday Against the Magic

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (shoulder) was listed as probable for Tuesday's matchup against the Orlando Magic, but he was upgraded to available after shootaround. Maxey sustained a shoulder issue on Sunday against Miami, but it won't keep him off the floor on Tuesday. Without some of his big-name teammates for most of the year, Maxey has posted big numbers with 33.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 7.8 assists, and 1.6 steals. Last Thursday, Maxey went off for 54 points against the Bucks and has at least 24 points in five straight games, averaging 35 points per contest over that stretch.

Tyrese Maxey Considered Probable Tuesday

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey (shoulder) is considered probable for Tuesday's matchup against the Orlando Magic. The star guard hurt his right shoulder in a loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday, but it appears the injury isn't serious enough to keep Maxey off the floor. Maxey just enjoyed a career night with 54 points against the Milwaukee Bucks and is having a fantastic year. He ranks second in scoring in the league with 33.0 points per game and has tallied 4.6 rebounds, 7.8 assists, and 1.6 steals. In this season's first meeting with the Magic, Maxey went for 43 points.

Tyrese Maxey Available Versus Milwaukee

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (quadriceps) will play on Thursday against Milwaukee. He appeared on the injury report because of a right quad contusion, although it isn't severe enough to force him to miss his first game of the 2025 campaign. The 25-year-old has had an MVP-caliber season, averaging a career-high 31.9 points and 7.8 assists. Of course, he's a must-start in any fantasy format, and he should remain nearly as productive moving ahead, at least while Joel Embiid (knee) is off the floor and Paul George is still working his way back to a full workload.

Tyrese Maxey Listed as Probable for Thursday

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (quad) is dealing with a quad contusion but is expected to play through the issue on Thursday against the Bucks as the Sixers finish a back-to-back. Maxey played 38 minutes on Tuesday and totaled 24 points, nine assists, three steals, and two rebounds in his team's loss to the Raptors. Maxey has been posting great numbers this season, averaging 31.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 7.8 assists, and 1.5 steals while logging a heavy workload of 40 minutes per game. He is likely to be available for the second night in a row on Thursday, although he may be less than 100%. If he needs extra help, Quentin Grimes, VJ Edgecombe, and Paul George could help pick up more offense on Thursday.

Tyrese Maxey Progressing In Recovery

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (finger) is "progressing well." However, the 24-year-old indicated he'll need "about another month" before resuming basketball drills. He had a quality 2024-25 campaign, averaging a career-high 26.3 points with 6.1 assists. His three-point shooting took a dip. Yet, Maxey made up for it by increasing his contributions on the defensive end by amassing nearly two steals per contest. Unfortunately, he was limited to 52 games, mostly due to a finger injury that prematurely ended his season in March. Without question, Maxey is one of the best players in the NBA. But it remains to be seen if he can stay as productive and involved offensively if Joel Embiid (knee) and Paul George (adductor, knee) can collectively remain on the floor.
