Philadelphia 76ers center Adem Bona (ankle) will not play on Monday against the Houston Rockets. He has been ruled out for a second consecutive game due to a sprained ankle. The rookie big man has exited the lineup following an impressive stint. He has posted 13.8 points and 8.8 rebounds over his past four appearances. Oshae Brissett, Chuma Okeke, and Alex Reese are candidates for an increased workload in the frontcourt on Monday, especially if Guerschon Yabusele (knee), who has been labeled as questionable, is ruled out for the contest.
Adem Bona Ruled Out For Friday With Knee Contusion
Philadelphia 76ers center Adem Bona (knee) has been ruled out for Friday night's game against the Orlando Magic. Bona is dealing with a left knee contusion. The rookie has been getting more minutes as of late with both Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond dealing with their own injury issues. Bona hadn't been making much of a fantasy impact, averaging just 3.3 PPG and 3.0 RPG off the bench in the last three games, two without Drummond active. Bona's absence won't have much impact on the Sixers against Orlando. Drummond, who's listed as questionable, will be a solid fantasy option from a rebounding standpoint if he's able to play.
Philadelphia 76ers center Adem Bona has been recalled from the team's G League affiliate and is officially available to play on Monday against the Miami Heat. He was originally sent down earlier Monday morning, but with Joel Embiid (illness) getting downgraded to doubtful, the team wanted to make sure they had another big man on the depth chart. Bona has usually come into the game during garbage time, so he's not much of a fantasy streamer at this time.
