The Atlanta Hawks have snapped up forward Dominick Barlow on a two-way contract. The 21-year-old links up with the Hawks after spending two seasons in San Antonio. He made 33 appearances last term, scoring 4.4 points and grabbing 3.4 rebounds in 12.7 minutes. During his time in Texas, Barlow also saw quite a bit of time in the G League, posting 16.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks. Atlanta is going with a youth movement, but it's unlikely we will see much of Barlow in 2024-25.
San Antonio Spurs forward Dominick Barlow will move into the starting five ahead of Saturday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The Spurs are without star center Victor Wembanyama (rest) during the second game of this back-to-back set. Barlow should see decent playing time with Zach Collins (ankle) also sidelined on Saturday. Barlow is worth a look as a streaming option with the Spurs shorthanded during this game. However, his fantasy value isn't likely to last longer than Saturday's game.

He averaged 3.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 14.6 minutes per game in 29 games last season. The hope is that he'll get more consistent of a role this upcoming season. Barlow played well during the Summer League, which is good to see from the young forward. He averaged 17.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in four appearances. It seems unlikely that Barlow is going to have a significant enough role to have fantasy value next season.
