Fantasy Football Week 11 Streaming
Lessons learned from Week 10, don’t trust Nick Foles, Baker Mayfield, and Drew Lock. With Mayfield, the weather impacted their game, Nick Chubb returned, and the Browns turned to their ground and pound attack. In one of the better matchups for quarterbacks, Lock couldn’t put up fourth-quarter garbage time production for the third straight game. I suggested streaming the Vikings defense against the Bears, and they came to play on Monday Night Football. A couple of the streaming tight ends played well, and we recommend them in Week 11 once again.
In Week 11, we have four more teams with their bye week in the Giants, Bears, 49ers, and Bills. So fantasy managers may need to replace Jimmy Graham, Daniel Jones, Josh Allen, and potentially all four defenses. With Drew Brees suffering a rib injury and collapsed lung, Jameis Winston could start against the Falcons, meaning fire him up. Let’s dive into the fantasy football Week 11 streaming picks.
Week 11 Bye Weeks
- New York Giants
- Chicago Bears
- San Francisco 49ers
- Buffalo Bills
Quarterbacks
Cam Newton at HOU
Although Cam Newton barely provides value in the passing game, the matchup against the Texans projects as a juicy matchup. The Texans allow the 16th most fantasy points to quarterbacks at 19.6 points per game. In a tough matchup against the Ravens, Newton threw 118 passing yards and one touchdown. He also added 21 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. Newton totaled at least one rushing touchdown in six out of eight games on the season.
In easier matchups against the Jets and Seahawks, Newton threw for 274 and 397 passing yards, meaning he could take advantage of a weak Texans defense. According to Football Outsiders, the Texans defense ranks 27th in Defense-adjusted Value Over Average (DVOA), meaning they’re not great. Newton ranks as the safest streaming quarterback pick in Week 11 with his rushing ability. The next quarterback, who loves eating W’s, potentially provides the highest upside.
Jameis Winston vs. ATL
Drew Brees left Sunday’s game with a rib injury, and later reports indicated that he suffered multiple rib fractures and a collapsed lung. Jameis Winston stepped in and didn’t need to do much since the Saints played with a lead for most of the second half. Granted, it’s a different offense, but we know Winston finished with a recent 5,000 yard passing season in 2019.
Generally speaking, we recommend starting players facing the Falcons’ defense, who allow the most fantasy points at 26.8 points per game to quarterbacks. On the season, the Falcons allow 310.3 passing yards per game (No. 31). However, they played better over their past three games and allowed 260.3 passing yards per game (No. 22). Sure, Taysom Hill may take away snaps from Winston, but we expect Winston to carve up the Falcons defense. Based on the matchup, Winston provides the potential to rank as a top-10 quarterback in Week 11. However, Winston ranks as the second-best Week 11 streaming quarterback pick since we have yet to see Winston play an entire game at quarterback with the Saints.
Tua Tagovailoa at DEN
Tua Tagovaliloa ranks as a deep-league Week 11 streaming quarterback pick, especially since the outcome of last week could happen against the Broncos. Last week, Tagovailoa threw 169 passing yards and two passing touchdowns, but the Dolphins’ defense held the Chargers’ offense in check. He faces the Broncos, who allow the 14th most fantasy points to the quarterback position at 19.8. However, the Broncos only allow 231.2 passing yards per game, which ranks as the 14th fewest on the season. Therefore, we’re hoping for Tagovailoa to throw for 230-250 passing yards with a pair of touchdowns. Overall, streaming Tagovailoa involves more risk since the Broncos don’t allow many passing yards.
Kirk Cousins vs. DAL
In a difficult matchup against the Bears, Kirk Cousins played well and threw for 292 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception on 36 pass attempts. On the season, the Bears allow the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks at 13.9 per game. The Bears also allow the 9th fewest passing yards with 218.2 passing yards per game. In Week 11, Cousins faces a Cowboys defense that ranks middle of the pack and allows 20.2 fantasy points to the quarterback position (No. 12).
Kirk Cousins & Adam Thielen’s 17-yard TD traveled 32.7 yards in the air, while Thielen had 0.7 yards of separation from #24 Buster Skrine.

— Next Gen Stats (@NextGenStats) November 17, 2020
On the season, the Vikings throw the fewest team pass plays per game at 28.1. Additionally, Cousins only attempted more than 28 passes in three games total, including Monday night. With the generally low passing volume, we could see Cousins fall more in line with the past two games where he threw 34 attempts, 380 passing yards, and four passing touchdowns in both games combined. Keep in mind that the Vikings could run all over the Cowboys, which then limits the passing volume and upside for Cousins. Thus, he ranks as the last Week 11 streaming quarterback pick.
Tight Ends
Eric Ebron at JAC
In what looked like a juicy Week 10 matchup against the Bengals, Eric Ebron caught two of six targets for 38 receiving yards. Interestingly, Ben Roethlisberger attempted 46 passes and threw ten plus targets to their top three receivers. The Bengals allowed the second-most fantasy points to the tight end position, yet Ebron only ended up with 38 receiving yards. However, outside of the top two in Darren Waller and Travis Kelce, that’s the nature of the tight end position in fantasy football.
In Week 11, Ebron faces the third-best matchup for the tight end position in the Jaguars, who allow 10.5 fantasy points per game. Ebron continues to receive a healthy 14.8% target share (No. 15) and 17.8% air yards share (No. 10). Fire up Ebron once again as the top Week 11 streaming tight end pick, and hopefully, he falls into the endzone.
Austin Hooper vs. PHI
Austin Hooper returned in Week 10 against the Texans and finished with an 85.2% snap share. Since weather impacted the game that included limited passing, Hooper only caught one of two targets for 11 receiving yards. Before the injury, from Week 4-6, Hooper caught 15 of 23 targets for 143 receiving yards and one touchdown. During those three weeks, he finished 11th or better in all three games. On the season, the Eagles allow the 7th most fantasy points to the tight end position at 9.5 points per game. Although the Browns use their run-heavy attack with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, hopefully, Hooper earns those targets again in better conditions.
Logan Thomas vs. CIN
Arguably, we could rank Logan Thomas above Austin Hooper with the higher passing volume in this offense. In the past two games, Alex Smith threw for over 300 passing yards with 32 and 55 pass attempts. Throughout the entire season, Thomas holds a 16% target share (No. 11) and 20.7% air yards share (No. 7). However, the issue earlier in the season involved the lack of receptions and receiving yards due to lack of efficiency. Meanwhile, his efficiency and productivity increased, particularly over the past four games.
During that four-game stretch, Thomas caught 14 of 20 targets for 196 receiving yards and two touchdowns. In the previous five games, Thomas caught 14 of 32 targets for 106 receiving yards and one touchdown. In Week 11, he faces another juicy matchup in the Bengals, who allow the 2nd most fantasy points to the position at 10.9 points per game. Thomas ranks 4th amongst tight ends with a 23.2% Dominator Rating, meaning he accounts for 23.2% of his team’s total receiving yards and touchdowns. With his stock trending up and the potential to rank inside the top-10, Thomas ranks as one of the better Week 11 streaming tight end picks.
Defenses
Miami Dolphins at DEN
Opposing defenses score the most fantasy points against the struggling Broncos offense at 10.3 points per game. The Dolphins rank 22nd with 128.1 rushing yards allowed and 19th with 243.8 passing yards allowed. Although they rank middle of the pack in terms of yards allowed, the Dolphins defense forced a turnover in each game with three games with nine turnovers combined. With Drew Lock banged up with a ribs injury, it sounds like Brett Rypien could lead the Broncos offense. According to Football Outsiders, the Broncos rank 27th in run blocking and 25th in pass protection, meaning the Dolphins could pressure Rypien and force turnovers. Thus, the Dolphins rank as the top Week 11 streaming defense pick.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. NYJ
Similar to the narrative of play offensive players against the Falcons, it’s a safe bet to stream defenses against the Jets. However, we occasionally see a game like the Patriots against the Jets, where Joe Flacco carves up the Patriots defense for most of the game. With Sam Darnold ruled out of the Patriots game, Joe Flacco threw for 262 passing yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. The Chargers have some concerns on defense since they allow the 6th most fantasy points to quarterbacks and 4th most fantasy points to tight ends. They also rank middle of the pack with 117.4 rushing yards allowed (No. 16) and 232.3 passing yards allowed (No. 16). In seven of their nine games, the Jets scored 17 or fewer points. Overall, even with their struggles, fire up the Chargers as a Week 11 streaming defense pick.
Cleveland Browns vs. PHI
Against the Eagles offense, streaming defenses score the 6th most fantasy points at 8.0 points per game. Opposing defenses sacked Carson Wentz 35 times, the most in the NFL. Wentz also ranks dead last with 12 interceptions, and the Eagles rank 29th in pass protection, according to Football Outsiders. When we combine all of that, it makes the Browns defense quite intriguing since they face Wentz, who seems prone to turnovers and sacks. Assuming the Browns can pressure Wentz, which most teams do, then it should lead to 2-3 sacks with potential turnovers.
Minnesota Vikings vs. DAL
Over the past three games, the Vikings defense played better overall. The Vikings allow the 5th fewest rushing yards (93.0) and the 16th fewest passing yards (230.3) in the last three games. For context, on the season, the Vikings rank 15th with 115.7 rushing yards and 27th with 267.9 passing yards allowed. Granted that the Cowboys faced tough matchups, but check out the passing yard totals in the past three games – 59, 132, and 220 passing yards. With the Cowboys quarterback situation up in the air, the Vikings rank as a deep-league streaming defense pick in Week 11.
