Adam Wilk Hit Hard By Indians On Saturday; Designated For Assignment After Game
Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Adam Wilk struggled with the Cleveland Indians' offense on Saturday. Wilk allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings of work, striking out two and walking three in the game. Wilk was called up as a spot starter to take the ball in the first game of a Saturday doubleheader against the Indians and was promptly designated for assignment after the outing. Wilk has made four appearances this season (one with the New York Mets), posting an unsightly 9.00 ERA and just eight strikeouts in 14 innings of work.
