Braves Select Anyelo Gomez In Rule 5 Draft
The Atlanta Braves selected pitcher Anyelo Gomez from the Yankees with the seventh pick of the Rule 5 draft. Gomez, 24, pitched in four levels of the minor leagues for the Yankees this past season. He made 38 appearances with one start and struck out 87 batters in 70 1/3 innings to go along with a 1.92 ERA. With the Braves rebuilding, there is a good chance he can make the opening day roster.
