Powell has been out for a couple of months with an MCL sprain sustained while running the bases. Power was in a battle during spring training for the center field spot against Dustin Fowler, who did well after being demoted to Triple-A, but Fowler has struggled since being called up. There is no need to have saved a roster spot for Powell.

Both players are options in AL-only formats and deeper leagues; and an uptick in playing time will make them even more valuable as the season winds down.
