Bryan De La Cruz News
Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz had a strong game Wednesday, going 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in a 5-4 extra-inning loss to the New York Mets. De La Cruz now has 12 home runs for the season to go with his .714 OPS, 34 runs, 38 RBI, and three stolen bases in 325 plate appearances. He now has a nine-game hitting streak with multi-hit performances in each of his last four. That has helped him to a prodigious .421/.453/.825 slash line in September. He's always had plenty of talent, and time will tell if he can parlay this good stretch into a better 2023.
Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz has been recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday. This was the expectation with the September callups beginning now. De La Cruz is hitting .212/.257/.343 with seven homers over 253 plate appearances this season. Although, he looked good in the minors and hit well in the MLB last season. The assumption is that he'll get a decent amount of playing time as the Marlins want to evaluate their young talent. However, De La Cruz can be ignored in basically all fantasy formats until further notice.
Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz went deep for the second straight day Tuesday, launching his sixth home run of the year. He did not reach base in either of his other two plate appearances during a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. De La Cruz now has a modest five-game hitting streak, during which time he has scored four runs and driven in three. De La Cruz has flashed big potential at times, but he has yet to put it all together consistently enough to make him a worth fantasy add.
