Bryan De La Cruz Hits 17th Homer Of Season Monday

Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz put together a three-hit night in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Mets. De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with two singles, a solo home run, and a stolen base. The 27-year-old turned on a seventh-inning Jose Butto offering, depositing it into the left-field bullpen for his 17th HR of the season. De La Cruz is now slashing .242/.287/.411 with 42 runs scored, 45 RBI, and three stolen bases in 426 plate appearances. He started the season on a promising note but has failed to hit for a good average starting in May onwards. Outfield is not as strong of a fantasy position as it has been in previous seasons, but fantasy managers should still have chances to find higher-upside options at this time.

Jesus Sanchez, Bryan De La Cruz Not Expected To Be Traded

The Miami Herald's Craig Mish writes that the Miami Marlins are unlikely to trade outfielders Jesus Sanchez and Bryan De La Cruz by the July 30 trade deadline this summer. The Marlins could very well trade outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. and left-hander Jesus Luzard (back), but not before Luzardo is healthy. Both Sanchez and De La Cruz are under contract through the 2027 season, making them attractive to contenders looking for extra years of control. It's also what makes them worth keeping for the struggling Marlins, though. Sanchez has been a below-average hitter with a .687 OPS, .239 average (61-for-255) with nine homers and a career-high six stolen bases, while De La Cruz has shown slightly more power with 15 long balls and 42 RBI while posting a .696 OPS and .237 average (84-for-354).

Bryan De La Cruz Absent On Sunday

Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz is out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Chicago White Sox. The 27-year-old will get a day off after gong 1-for-8 over the first two games of the series. In his place, Nick Gordon will cover left field and bat seventh versus right-hander Jonathan Cannon. Fantasy managers who have De La Cruz rostered should adjust their lineups ahead of first pitch.

Bryan De La Cruz Blasts Homer On Sunday

Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz has been a nice source of power for this offense through the first few months of the season. On Sunday, De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in the win over the Philadelphia Phillies. He is now up to 15 homers, which is only a few behind his career high which is 19 long balls. The 27-year-old is putting together a nice season and should be a player to watch at the upcoming trade deadline. Possibly, De La Cruz could see an increase in fantasy value with a move to a more hitter-friendly ballpark.

Bryan De La Cruz Homers In Friday Win

Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz picked up three hits in a 3-2 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Friday. De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo homer to help power Miami to the series-opening win over Cleveland. The 27-year-old outfielder blasted a 432-foot solo bomb off Cleveland starter Logan Allen in the third inning to give the Marlins their first run of the ballgame. De La Cruz is now hitting .252 with 11 homers, 30 runs, 28 RBI, and a steal across 246 at-bats this season. Well on his way to establishing a new career-high in homers (19), De La Cruz has been a nice source of cheap power this season.

Bryan De La Cruz Blasts Homer In Win

Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz has been one of the few bright spots for this team early in the season. On Wednesday, De La Cruz blasted a two-run home run off right-hander Casey Mize during the opening frame. The homer from De La Cruz was enough for the Marlins as they won the game 2-0. De La Cruz now has nine home runs, 24 RBI, and one steal this season. He has put together a nice breakout campaign early in the season.

Bryan De La Cruz Homers In Loss

Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz has been heating up at the plate over the last week or so. On Wednesday, De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during the 3-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants. The 27-year-old is currently on a six-game hitting streak. During that span, De La Cruz has posted three multi-hit games. Fantasy managers should make sure to keep him in their lineups while he's hot at the plate.

Bryan De La Cruz Has First Three-Hit Game Of The Season

Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz tallied his first three-hit game of the season in the team's 10-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. De La Cruz moved down in the order for Sunday's game, hitting seventh, after batting third through fifth in every game before that. However, the move down in the order helped the 27-year-old. He singled in his first two at-bats before starting off the eighth inning with a single. De La Cruz is a sneaky fantasy option moving forward, and someone fantasy managers should keep an eye on. He has a hit in nine of 10 games to begin the 2024 campaign.

Bryan De La Cruz Off To Solid Spring Start

Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz is off to a solid start this spring as he look to bounce back from what was, overall, a down season at the plate. The 27-year-old is 4-for-12 (.333) with a pair of doubles and five RBI across 12 trips to the plate to begin his Grapefruit League action. In his age-26 season, De La Cruz hit .257 with 19 home runs and 78 RBI, alongside a .715 OPS, across 153 games played in 2023, production that graded out 8% inferior to the league average, as per his 92 wRC+. However, his .330 xwOBA was well above his .309 wOBA and he generally posted strong Statcast metrics. ATC projects 20 home runs and 69 RBI for De La Cruz in the 2024 season, making him a decent, yet unspectacular fantasy asset.

Bryan De La Cruz Returns Against Mets

Miami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz (ankle) is playing right field and hitting fifth in the batting order on Tuesday against New York Mets left-hander Joey Lucchesi. De La Cruz is returning to Miami's starting lineup after he missed the last three games with right-ankle soreness. The 26-year-old Dominican outfielder is currently slashing .254/.302/.419 with a career-high 19 home runs, 31 doubles, 74 RBI, three stolen bases and 58 runs scored in 142 games in his third major-league season for the Fish. In 14 starts in the month of September, he's gone 12-for-50 (.240) with three home runs, a double, 10 RBI and nine runs scored. Against southpaws in 2023, De La Cruz is hitting .270 (34-for-126) with three of his 19 long balls.
