Owners certainly shouldnt rush to gobble up stock in Hale with Aroldis Chapmans return on the horizon, but it is an indicator that while Britton remains a solid option for those eyeing holds or looking to lower team ERAs, he may not be 100 percent healthy at the current time.
For the third time this season and second time by the Yankees, relief pitcher David Hale has been designated for assignment on Tuesday. The move was made to open up a spot on the roster for outfielder Clint Frazier, who was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Hale has made three appearances this season, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks with seven strikeouts over eight innings. If he was owned in any league for some reason, it's safe to drop him at this point.
