Dietrich Enns Notches Second Save Monday

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Dietrich Enns struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save during Monday's 6-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. With the bases loaded, he entered the game in the ninth inning to preserve a 6-4 lead. The 30-year-old fanned Breyvic Valera to secure the Rays victory on Monday. Rays' incumbent closer Andrew Kittredge (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday, Enns was brought in for Monday's save opportunity. Enns owns a 3.10 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and a 23:6 K: BB over 20 1/3 innings in 2021. The Rays right-hander continues to have a versatile role in the bullpen and should be rostered in all leagues for the fantasy baseball playoffs.

Dietrich Enns Picks Up Second Win Thursday

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Dietrich Enns (2-0) allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out three over four innings in Thursday's 5-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers. He earned his second win of the season. The 30-year-old followed opener Louis Head and threw four strong innings to pick up the win. Dietrich continues to deliver in September, owning a 0.82 ERA, 0.72 WHIP, and a 12:1 K: BB over 11 innings in 2021. The southpaw will likely follow an opener next week and can be used as a streamer in most leagues.

Dietrich Enns To Get Another Start

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Dietrich Enns will enter the starting rotation for at least one turn, as Chris Archer was placed on the injured list Sunday morning. Enns will start Thursday against the Detroit Tigers in Archer's place, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. Enns has just eight career appearances to his name, with six of those coming this season. He's had some success, with a 3.38 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 19 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings. That said, his longest outing of the year is four innings, so fantasy managers are unlikely to find value here for the time being.

Dietrich Enns Picks Up The Win

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Dietrich Enns (1-0) struck out six over four perfect innings to earn the win during Saturday's 7-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers. He entered the game in the fifth inning after Chris Archer (hip) was removed due to left hip discomfort. Enns was flawless on Saturday, striking out six over four scoreless innings. The 30-year-old was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Friday. Despite the impressive performance Saturday, Enns is primarily used in a long-relief role and is not on the fantasy radar. Overall, Enns owns a 3.38 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 19 strikeouts over 16 innings in 2021.

Kohl Stewart Promoted, Dietrich Enns Demoted

Minnesota Twins right-handed pitcher Kohl Stewart has been promoted to Triple-A. Left-hander Dietrich Enns has been sent down to Double-A. Stewart hasn't been exactly lighting the world on fire in the minors, but the drastic change in his numbers between April and June is worth noting. The youngster's ERA in April was 5.82, but in June it dwindled all the way down to 1.48. He's also sporting a 29:8 strikeout-to-walk ratio in June. While Stewart is nowhere near on the daily fantasy radar, dynasty players should probably start looking at him more closely. The Twins will probably try to trade one or more of their older starters to a contender, making room for someone like Stewart in the rotation if he continues his hot streak.

Glen Perkins Activated, Dietrich Enns To DL

The Minnesota Twins activated reliever Glen Perkins from the disabled list and sent left-hander Dietrich Enns to the DL in a corresponding move. Perkins had been on the DL for 16 months, with his last MLB appearance coming in April of 2016. Perkins is expected to pitch out of the bullpen down the stretch, but not as the team's closer. Enns lands on the disabled list with a shoulder strain. The rookie left-hander was acquired from the New York Yankees at the trade deadline in the deal which sent Jaime Garcia to the Bronx. Enns has made two appearances for the Twins, posting a 6.75 ERA in four innings of work.

Dietrich Enns To Have Next Scheduled Start Skipped, Will Start Saturday

The Minnesota Twins plan to skip Dietrich Enns' next scheduled start, which was to be this Wednesday against the Cleveland Indians. With the adjustment in the starting rotation, Enns will next take the mound this Saturday. The Twins will pitch Bartolo Colon, Kyle Gibson, and Jose Berrios in the three-game series against Cleveland. Enns will be available out of the bullpen in the meantime if needed. Enns was recently acquired in the trade which sent Jaime Garcia to the New York Yankees, making just one start for the Twins and allowing two runs (one earned) in 2 1/3 innings of work.

Dietrich Enns Will Get Another Big League Start

Minnesota Twins left-hander Dietrich Enns made his MLB debut on Thursday night, allowed one earned run in 2 1/3 innings of work, throwing just 53 pitches before being lifted for a relief pitcher. Enns allowed five hits while walking one without recording a strikeout. Enns came over to Minnesota in the trade which sent left-hander Jaime Garcia to the New York Yankees. When asked about Enns' future, manager Paul Molitor told reporters that the rookie would be making another start for the Twins, either this Wednesday or next Saturday.

Dietrich Enns To Start For Twins On Thursday

The Minnesota Twins will start newly acquired left-hander Dietrich Enns against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday. Enns came over to the Twins organization in the trade which sent left-hander Jaime Garcia to the New York Yankees. Enns posted a 2.29 ERA in seven starts with the Yankees' Triple-A club this season while averaging 8.47 strikeouts per nine innings. He will have his work cut out for him in his major league debut against a Brewers offense that hits well for power against left-handers. Kyle Gibson, Thursday's originally scheduled starter, has been bumped back to Friday.
