Twins Decline Dylan Bundy's Club Option Monday

The Minnesota Twins declined starting pitcher Dylan Bundy's $11 million club option Monday, per MLB's Do-Hyoung Park. The option included a $1 million buyout. The 29-year-old turned in some strong starts in 2022 but ended the season with a disappointing 8-8 record, 4.89 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and 15.8% strikeout rate in 29 starts and 140 innings pitched. The former prospect has never lived up to expectations, serving as a point of frustration for fantasy managers. Now a free agent, Bundy will look for a new opportunity with a team in need of rotation help.

Dylan Bundy Reinstated From COVID Injured List

The Minnesota Twins reinstated starting pitcher Dylan Bundy from the COVID-19 injured list on Tuesday and designated right-hander Jharel Cotton for assignment in a corresponding move. Bundy has missed the team's last 10 games since going on the COVID list on May 6. In his five starts this year, the right-hander has gone 3-2 with a 5.76 ERA with five walks and 22 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched. Bundy will make the start in his return against the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday, and because he'll likely be on a limited pitch count due to the length of his absence, fantasy managers should look for better streaming options.

Dylan Bundy Expected Back Tuesday

Minnesota Twins right-hander Dylan Bundy (illness) is expected to start for his team against the Oakland A's on Tuesday. Bundy has been on the injured list since he came down with COVID-19 early in May. The veteran right-hander draws a plus assignment against Oakland on Tuesday, but he may not work very deep into the contest in his first game back. Bundy has compiled a 3-2 record, 5.76 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 22 strikeouts over 25 innings of work in 2022.

Dylan Bundy Likely To Start On Saturday

Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Dylan Bundy is expected to make the start against the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday. Bundy has been sidelined since May 5 after testing positive for COVID-19. Luckily, the right-hander has cleared the league's health and safety protocols, so he is eligible to return. He is posting a 5.76 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 22/5 K/BB ratio over five starts with Minnesota. Fantasy managers can probably avoid Bundy as a streaming option for Saturday's slate.

Dylan Bundy, Luis Arraez Test Positive For COVID-19

Minnesota Twins pitcher Dylan Bundy and infielder Luis Arraez tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. Jayce Tingler also tested positive for the virus. Bundy, Arraez, and Tingler are expected to be placed on the injured list and will quarantine away from the team. Bundy's next scheduled start on Wednesday against the Houston Astros is up in the air, and he will have to clear MLB protocols before returning to the team. Arraez and Tingler will be away from the team and be eligible to return once they clear protocols. Jose Miranda should see an uptick in at-bats while Arraez is out. Miranda is off to a slow start and is hitting .077 (1-for-13) in his big league career.

Dylan Bundy Strikes Out Six On Monday

Minnesota Twins right-hander Dylan Bundy allowed one run over 5 1/3 innings in an 8-3 win over the Boston Red Sox on Monday. Bundy struck out six and scattered five hits without walking a batter on the way to picking up his second win of the season. The 29-year-old has been excellent through his first two starts for the Twins, posting a 2-0 record, 0.87 ERA, 0.68 WHIP, and eight strikeouts through 10 1/3 innings of work. Bundy will look to keep it going next time out when he faces off against the Chicago White Sox.

Twins Sign Dylan Bundy

The Minnesota Twins have signed free agent starting pitcher Dylan Bundy, according to a tweet from MLB Network's Jon Heyman. Per Heyman, it's a one-year deal worth $4 million that also comes with an $11 million for the 2023 season. Also, according to Heyman, that option has a $1 million buyout. The right-hander spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Angels. This past year he pitched to a 6.06 ERA and a 5.51 FIP in 90.2 innings while registering 84 strikeouts and surrendering 34 walks. He'll join a Twins rotation that could also include Joe Ryan, Bailey Ober, and Randy Dobnak.

Dylan Bundy Throws Bullpen Wednesday

Los Angeles Angels right-hander Dylan Bundy (shoulder) completed a bullpen session on Wednesday. It was his first bullpen since landing on the injured list on August 25 with a right shoulder strain, and he's set to throw another on Saturday. According to Jeff Fletcher of the Southern California News Group, Bundy expects to be back on the mound for the Angels before the season's end. If he does return, he should stay off the radars of fantasy managers, as he's posted a 6.06 ERA with a 21.2 K% and 8.6 BB% over 23 appearances, 19 of which were starts.

Dylan Bundy Placed On Injured List With Shoulder Strain

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Dylan Bundy (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a right shoulder strain, the team announced on Twitter. Bundy had struggled in his outing on Tuesday, allowing one run on one hit and three walks with three strikeouts over 1 1/3 innings of work against the Orioles. It's been a rough year overall for Bundy, who has gone 2-9 with a 6.06 ERA, 1.357 WHIP and 21.2 percent strikeout rate over 90 2/3 innings of work. Given this type of injury, it's entirely possible Bundy's season could be over.

Dylan Bundy Doesn't Escape The Second Inning

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Dylan Bundy couldn't get out of the second inning during Tuesday's 14-8 victory against the Baltimore Orioles. He allowed three of the first four batters to reach base in the second inning before getting the hook. Overall, he went 1.1 innings, giving up one run, three walks, and collecting one strikeout. The poor start added to his meagre season, posting a 6.06 ERA with a 21.2 K%. He's really struggled with the long ball this year, surrendering 1.99 HR/9. Fantasy managers should stay away from Bundy when possible and keep him on the waiver wire.
