Phillies Acquire Erich Uelmen

The Philadelphia Phillies announced that the team has acquired right-hander Erich Uelmen on Wednesday in a tweet from the team's official Twitter account. Uelmen was acquired from the Chicago Cubs for cash considerations. The 26-year-old previously appeared in 25 games for the Cubs last season, logging 27 innings to go with a 4.67 ERA and a 5.00 FIP. He also turned in three holds and a save to go along with 21 strikeouts compared to 12 walks.
