Franklin Arias Tearing Up Triple-A and Becoming Priority Stash

Boston Red Sox top shortstop prospect Franklin Arias received a promotion from Double-A Portland to Triple-A Worcester on July 24, and since then he has not disappointed, even at 20 years old. Arias has dominated at Triple-A to the tune of four homers and 17 RBI to go with 12 runs scored while hitting .300 in 17 games with Worcester. At Portland, he did just as much, if not more, damage with a .318 batting average and 19 homers and 52 RBI to go with 50 runs scored and five stolen bases in 75 games. The shortstop prospect has a 60-grade hit tool with 55-grade power and is looking like one of the best young prospects in baseball. If he is called up by Boston, he will be one of the priority adds in all of baseball. His potential is off the charts at age 20, and the Red Sox might want to give him a chance at a debut this season.

Franklin Arias Surging at Triple-A as Late-Season Debut Remains in Play

Boston Red Sox top-ranked prospect Franklin Arias has looked quite comfortable since joining Triple-A and is making a strong case to earn a call-up to the MLB roster down the stretch. Arias opened the 2026 season at the Double-A level, where he posted a dominant .318/.407/.587 line with an eye-catching .994 OPS. During this 75-game stretch, Arias launched 19 home runs while adding 17 doubles, with five stolen bases. Since moving up to Worcester, the shortstop has carried a .288/.356/.519 line with three doubles and three home runs over just 12 games. Given that Boston has lacked much production at shortstop with Trevor Story on the shelf, Arias remains in play not only to earn the call, but to have a sizable role.

Franklin Arias Off to Productive Start to August at Triple-A

Boston Red Sox top-rated shortstop prospect Franklin Arias is off to a scorching start since his call-up to Triple-A Worcester, hitting three homers with 12 RBI in his first 10 games at the highest level of the minors. He has started August hitting .444 with a homer and six RBI in just four games. The uber-talented 20-year-old is showing that he belongs at Triple-A but might have a bit of ways to go before a call-up to Boston. Between two levels of the minors, Arias is hitting .319 with 22 homers and 64 RBI to go with 56 runs and five steals. The right-handed hitter from Venezuela looks like a future major league star, but he might need a bit more time at Triple-A while Boston is in the thick of a playoff push. Arias, however, is a name to stash away in dynasty leagues as he looks like a future impact performer.

Franklin Arias Rounding into Form at Triple-A

Boston Red Sox infield prospect Franklin Arias has begun to hit his stride at Triple-A Worcester after going 0-for-8 in his first two games there. Boston's top-ranked prospect has now collected a hit in his last five games, going 7-for-22 (.318) with two doubles, two home runs, and a 4:4 BB:K. The 5-foot-11 Venezuelan earned the promotion to Triple-A after a strong Double-A campaign in which he slashed .318/.407/.587 with 19 home runs and nearly as many walks (37) as strikeouts (46). Now on the doorstep to the majors, fantasy managers will have to take notice as the right-handed hitter has a strong enough hit tool and pop to go with it to make him intriguing for fantasy, however, he's not on the 40-man roster at the moment, and Andruw Monasterio is holding down shortstop sufficiently while Trevor Story is nearing a rehab assignment. Second base is another potential path, but for now, managers can hold off on stashing the 20-year-old until a clearer picture emerges.

Franklin Arias Heating Up in Triple-A, Making a Case as a Potential Stash

Boston Red Sox shortstop prospect Franklin Arias went 3-for-5 with a double, four RBI, and a walk on Friday with Triple-A Worcester. Arias was recently promoted to Triple-A on July 23 and is slashing .240/.333/.520 with two home runs and six RBI in his first six games with the WooSox. The 20-year-old is considered Boston's top prospect and has racked up 21 total home runs this season. It's worth noting that Arias started at second base on Friday, marking his first start at the keystone in Triple-A. He logged 56 games as shortstop in Double-A Portland. Boston is in the market for infield help after recently acquired Curtis Mead (wrist) was placed on the injured list with a nondisplaced left wrist fracture. While Arias continues to rake, he might not make his MLB debut until 2027, but is on the radar as a potential stash.

Franklin Arias Being Called Up to Triple-A

The Boston Red Sox are promoting shortstop prospect Franklin Arias to Triple-A Worcester, according to Tommy Cassell. The 20-year-old Venezuelan infielder is getting the call to the top level of the farm system after hitting an impressive .319/.407/.581 with a .987 OPS, 18 home runs, 51 RBI, 49 runs scored, and five stolen bases in 74 games across 327 plate appearances at Double-A Portland this year. Per MLB Pipeline, Arias is Boston's top prospect, and he's also considered the No. 7 overall prospect in all of baseball in 2026. At the shortstop position, Arias is the No. 4 overall prospect. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder makes contact to all fields and has advanced hand-eye coordination for his age. Arias has a bright future, but fantasy managers in dynasty/keeper leagues already holding him would like to see him add weight/strength and put the ball in the air more often. He also has below-average speed, so he probably won't be a high-end power/speed option at the 6 at the next level. Arias has had a fine season in the minors and is now one stop away from the Show, but that might not come until 2027.

Top Boston Prospect Franklin Arias Not Quite Worth a Roster Stash

Boston Red Sox shortstop prospect Franklin Arias is impressing at Double-A this season, but he could be a long way away from making an impact in fantasy leagues. Double-A Portland has been good to the 20-year-old, as he has amassed 17 homers and 47 RBI while hitting .332 with five stolen bases. The numbers are mighty impressive for Boston's top overall prospect, but at just 20 years old, he would likely need a lengthy look at Triple-A before he would make his major league debut. Arias ranks as the No. 4 prospect in the minors at shortstop, but the Venezuelan is most likely to make his debut in Boston next year. He continues to impress in the minors but is likely not worth using a roster spot this season. His name is one to definitely file away as he continues to progress, but next year might be his time to shine on fantasy teams.

Franklin Arias Surging at Double-A, 2026 Debut Back in Play?

Boston Red Sox shortstop prospect Franklin Arias' bat has come back to life in a big way after a short slump. From June 11 through June 19, Boston's top-ranked prospect went just 2-for-20 (.100) over a six-game span, but in the nine games since, he's 18-for-38 (.474) with five doubles, three home runs, and a 4:5 BB:K. The surge has raised his season-long slash line at Double-A to .328/.407/.594 with 16 home runs, five steals, and a fairly even split between walks (29) and strikeouts (36). A promotion to Triple-A could be on the way in the near future, and with his abilities, a late-season debut in the majors could be in the cards. The 20-year-old just rose all the way to No. 8 on MLB.com's most recent refresh of the Top 100 prospects list, and fantasy managers will want to put him on their radar as the young Venezuelan could become a worthy stash candidate in deeper leagues in the coming months.

Franklin Arias Gets Back on Track, Promotion to Triple-A on the Way?

Boston Red Sox shortstop prospect Franklin Arias broke out of his mini-slump over the weekend, going 6-for-10 with a pair of three-hit games, which included three doubles and his first home run since June 2, a period of 14 games without one. The surge boosted his season-long slash line to .315/.395/.579 with 14 home runs and five stolen bases at Double-A Portland. Also notable was the fact that for the first time all season, the 5-foot-11 Venezuelan made a start at a position other than shortstop, manning second base for the Sea Dogs in Saturday's contest. Although he's played some second base in the past, it is something to keep an eye on, as more starts there could provide added versatility and create another pathway to Triple-A and eventually the majors, perhaps even in 2026. With Boston promoting Anthony Seigler from Triple-A to play second base with Isiah Kiner-Falefa (forearm) hitting the injured list, a promotion to Triple-A for Arias could be forthcoming. Once on the doorstep to the majors, Arias could become a stash option in deeper leagues.

Is a 2026 MLB Debut in Doubt for Slumping Franklin Arias?

Boston Red Sox shortstop prospect Franklin Arias has gone cold at Double-A Portland, going 2-for-16 (.125) over his last five games, and is batting just .222 in June. Despite the slowdown, Boston's top-ranked prospect has still been able to get on base this month, thanks to 10 walks compared to just nine strikeouts. Because of his hot start, the right-handed hitter still has a strong slash line of .307/.393/.559 with 13 home runs and five steals through 54 games for the Sea Dogs. His 10.7 percent walk rate and 13.2 percent strikeout shows a solid approach, which should help him break out of the recent slump and propel him to Triple-A in the coming weeks. When that happens, the talented Venezuelan will be knocking on the door to the majors and would be a stash consideration. For now, he is not a must-stash, but keen fantasy managers should keep an eye on his development.
