Atlanta Braves pitching prospect Hayden Harris is getting called up from Triple-A Gwinnett for what will be his major league debut whenever he enters a game. The Braves' 27th-ranked prospect has had a fantastic season, dominating in 18 relief appearances at Double-A and earning a promotion to Triple-A in June. He was also nominated for the All-Star Futures Game in July. In all, the 26-year-old has recorded an astounding 0.56 ERA, 0.73 WHIP, and a 32.0 percent K-BB% (he struck out 41.0 percent of batters faced) in 48 innings pitched. The 6-foot southpaw will get a chance to prove himself against major league hitters, but in a middle relief role, he'll hold little fantasy value in 2025.

The lefty has been a dominant reliever this season for Double-A Columbus, pitching to a 0.79 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, with 37 strikeouts in 22 2/3 IP, which has translated to an elite 43.5 percent strikeout rate. Walks have been a bit high in the past, registering an 11.9 percent walk rate during his minor league career through the end of the 2024 season, which includes a 15.2 percent rate in 22 innings at Triple-A last year, but the 26-year-old has reduced it to a more palatable 8.2 percent rate in 2025. With the recent underperformance and injuries related to the Braves' bullpen, Harris could make a major debut in short order with a good showing at Triple-A. Unless he were to find his way into the vacant closer role in Atlanta, however, there is little relevance for fantasy here.

Harris has progressed through the Braves system very quickly and is now just one stop away from the major leagues. The 25-year-old began last season in Single-A Augusta and eventually finished the season with Double-A Mississippi. After posting a poor 9.72 ERA in Single-A, the southpaw improved as the season progressed and was able to post a strong 2.83 ERA,1.26 WHIP, and a 17:50 BB:K ratio in 35 frames at Double-A. He opened the 2024 season at Double-A and built off that momentum with a stellar 1.74 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and a 9:34 BB:K ratio in 20 innings. He allowed just one earned run through the first two months of the campaign with 29 total punchouts. Even though he struggled through June, the Braves believe Harris is ready for the top level of the minors. He is a name to keep a close eye on in NL-only formats, as he could provide a strong source of holds if he joins the major league roster later this summer.
