Pittsburgh Pirates manager Derek Shelton said that relief pitcher Hector Noesi has decided to opt out of the 2020 season amid the coronavirus pandemic, citing family reasons. Noesi wasn't even a lock to make Pittsburgh's Opening Day roster as a middle reliever, so there's nothing really to see here from a fantasy perspective. The 33-year-old Dominican reliever made his first big league appearance last year for the first time since 2015 with the White Sox. He had an ugly 8.46 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 7.8 K/9 in 12 outings (four starts) over 27 2/3 innings with the Marlins.
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Hector Noesi will draw the start against the New York Mets on Tuesday. Noesi hasn't started a game in the MLB since 2015, so we'll see how this goes. He has a 3.82 ERA in 21 starts at Triple-A this season. He's not a favorable streaming option, so DFS players should look elsewhere.
