The Philadelphia Phillies have signed infielder Jake Elmore to a minor league deal. He has not appeared in an MLB game since 2019. During that season, Elmore batted .213/.245/.234 in 20 games. Elmore has never hit well during his time in the majors and that's unlikely going to change. This is mostly a depth signing and it's unlikely that Elmore even gets a chance to play in Philly. Fantasy managers can go ahead and continue to avoid Elmore going forward.
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Jake Elmore is starting his fourth game of the year on Wednesday, playing right field and batting seventh against the Chicago Cubs. Outfielder Kevin Kramer is out for the first time since Friday. Elmore hadn't played since 2016 before his Sept. 17 call-up, which makes for a nice story, but he's not fantasy relevant while hitting .179/.179/.214 in 28 plate appearances. Said irrelevance extends to DFS.
