Kenny Rosenberg To Make First Start Of The Season On Thursday
Los Angeles Angels left-hander Kenny Rosenberg will make his first start of the season in Thursday's series opener against the visiting Oakland Athletics. Rosenberg will be making just his fifth career start since debuting for the Halos in 2022. The 29-year-old southpaw has made only two appearances out of the bullpen in the big leagues in 2024 and has surrendered seven earned runs on 12 hits (two homers) while walking four and striking out seven in 10 innings of work. The former eighth-rounder by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2016 out of Cal State Northridge went 5-4 this year with a 3.74 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and a 67:24 K:BB in 14 starts covering 77 innings at Triple-A Salt Lake. The matchup is a great one, but Rosenberg will still be a desperation, low-upside fantasy streamer against the A's on Thursday.
Kenny Rosenberg Toeing The Rubber Monday Versus Orioles
Los Angeles Angels pitcher Kenny Rosenberg will be on the mound Monday night as he takes on the Baltimore Orioles in what marks his first start at the MLB level this season. The southpaw has made a pair of long relief appearances for the Halos this season but has worked as a starter at the Triple-A level. Rosenburg has made 20 starts for Triple-A Salt Lake, working to a 4.95 ERA across an even 100 innings of work. Monday night will mark the 28-year-old's second career start and sixth appearance in the big leagues while he sports a 5.09 ERA with seven strikeouts and another seven walks across seven innings of work in his brief MLB tenure to this point. He'll battle an Orioles offense that is tied for ninth with a .330 wOBA versus left-handed pitching this season.
