Cincinnati Reds right-hander Michael Feliz got the final out of a 6-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals to pick up his first save of the season on Friday. With runners at first and third, Feliz struck out first baseman Paul Goldschmidt to end the game. The ninth inning didn't start as a save situation as the Reds were staked to a 6-1 lead at the start of the frame before Heath Hembree and Sean Doolittle combined to let in three runs. While it was a surprise to see Feliz out there to earn the first save of his career, Lucas Sims and Tejay Antone are both still secure in their sharing of the ninth-inning role while Feliz is likely to remain in low-leverage situations going forward.
Cincinnati Reds relief pitcher Michael Feliz (undisclosed) has been activated from the injured list. The organization did not give a reason for Feliz being placed on the IL earlier this week. They likely did this because it was COVID symptoms, but it sounds like Feliz is ready to return to the bullpen. Cionel Perez will head to the minors in a corresponding move. Feliz does not have any fantasy value right now since he has struggled this season and is pitching in low leverage situations.
Cincinnati Reds right-handed hurler Michael Feliz will be on the mound again as he was activated from the team's injured reserve list on Wednesday. There is no reason listed why Feliz was placed on the injured list. The 27-year-old has a 0-0 record, and 5.79 ERA in 14 innings pitched. Through 14 games, he has fanned 16 batters while posting a 1.50 WHIP. Feliz is currently a non-factor in fantasy baseball.
Cincinnati Reds pitcher Michael Feliz (undisclosed) has been placed on the 10-day injured list. The organization has not revealed the injury, so who knows how long Feliz will be sidelined. He was getting crushed before getting released by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Cincinnati didn't get to see much of Feliz before the injury. Mike Freeman has been recalled in a corresponding move. Neither of these players are going to offer much fantasy value whatsoever.
Pittsburgh Pirates relief pitcher Michael Feliz will serve as the team's opener for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. It's not clear who will pitch the bulk of the innings or if it will be a bullpen game. The Dodgers are a dangerous lineup anyway, so any Pittsburgh pitcher would be a DFS fade for this contest. Meanwhile, the top of the Dodgers lineup, once it is announced, will be solid DFS options. The Pirates as a whole have a 4.38 ERA this season, 10th in the National League.
Pittsburgh Pirates relief pitcher Michael Feliz had a rough night against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. He gave up three runs on three hits and a walk. He wasn't able to get any strikeouts, but did get through a full inning of work. His poor performance has raised his ERA to an ugly 6.05. Feliz didn't factor into the decision, and he probably isn't going be factoring into any in the near future.
The Pittsburgh Pirates activated reliever Michael Feliz (shoulder) off of the disabled list on Saturday afternoon. Feliz should slide right back into his role as the set-up man ahead of closer Felipe Vazquez. Feliz has not been particularly good this season as evidenced by his 5.51 ERA through 32 2/3 innings. He does have some value in leagues that count holds as a statistic as he has tallied 11 of those on the year, however, aside from that he is fantasy irrelevant.
Pittsburgh Pirates relief pitcher Michael Feliz was placed on the 10-day DL Sunday with shoulder inflammation. Feliz has 39 strikeouts in 32.2 innings, but has a 1.47 WHIP and 5.51 ERA. His xFIP, which is based on outcomes that do not involve fielding, is 3.93 which shows he should have better numbers. Feliz will be replaced by righty Clay Holmes. According to Liz Bloom of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, "In 13 games (66 1/3 innings) for Indianapolis this season, Holmes has a 3.39 ERA and 71 strikeouts. In his last four starts, he has allowed just two earned runs over 25 1/3 innings." Expect him to be a long relief guy along with Tyler Glasnow.
