Former Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Nick Kingham was acquired by the Blue Jays on Thursday for cash considerations. The 27-year-old has been pretty bad through 34 2/3 innings with the Pirates and posting a 9.87 ERA. He has managed 32 strikeouts in those innings but just couldn't get going as he did the previous year in which he threw a 5.21 ERA over 76 innings. The change of scenery and a possible chance in the starting rotation in Toronto could put him back on fantasy radars. Keep an eye out to see how he'll be used and if he's able to get into a groove.

The Pittsburgh Pirates placed pitcher Rookie Davis (finger) on the 10-day injured list on Saturday with a blister on his right middle finger and designated pitcher Nick Kingham for assignment. Outfielder Corey Dickerson (shoulder) and third baseman Jung Ho Kang (oblique) are back from the injured list, while reliever Michael Feliz has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis. Davis developed a blister on his finger during his start on Friday night. He has a 6.75 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 10 K's in 10 2/3 innings this year and isn't fantasy relevant. Kingham has been worse in 14 games (four starts), going 1-1 with a 9.61 ERA, 2.02 WHIP and 32 strikeouts in 34 2/3 frames.

His last pitch was a two-run homer from Curt Casali. Kingham contributed offensively with a two RBI single in the sixth inning. He is a talented pitcher that many expect big things from. He is 4-4 with a 4.11 ERA, and is set to take the win on Saturday.
