Rangers Sign Nick Snyder To Minor-League Deal
The Texas Rangers signed right-hander Nick Snyder, catcher David Garcia and left-hander Lucas Jacobsen to minor-league deals on Friday. Snyder will return to Texas after playing most of the year for Triple-A Round Rock. The 27-year-old pitched in one inning for the Rangers and allowed two earned runs on one hit. He had a 4.97 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 51 strikeouts in 38 innings over 41 outings (one start) in the minors. Garcia will also return after slashing .229/.306/.349 with five home runs and 39 RBI in two minor-league levels. Jacobsen made 19 appearances (one start) for Double-A Frisco and Round Rock in 2022, posting a strong 2.29 ERA, a 1.12 WHIP, three saves and 30 strikeouts in 19 2/3 frames.
