Randy Arozarena Could be a Sell Candidate to Close Out the Year

Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena has hit a strong .281 (97-for-345) in his second year with the team on his way to his third All-Star appearance, but his power has been down in 2026, and his underlying metrics don't exactly project a strong finish. The 31-year-old Cuban finished the first half on a good note and went into the All-Star break with a .286/.380/.458 slash line and an .838 OPS in 89 games and 379 plate appearances. He hit only two home runs in June, though, and he's currently batting .273 (15-for-55) with an .883 OPS, three homers, a double, eight RBI, and 12 runs scored in 16 games in the month of July. Under the hood, Arozarena has a .264 expected batting average and .352 xwOBA (.365 current wOBA), suggesting regression to close out his eighth year in the big leagues. He also has a hard-hit rate in the 54th percentile and ranks in the 47th percentile in barrel rate, the 40th percentile in chase rate, and the 58th percentile in expected slugging. Arozarena can get hot in an instant, but he can also be streaky, and although he's making more contact this year, his quality of contact is down.

Randy Arozarena Activated From Injured List on Tuesday

The Seattle Mariners activated outfielder Randy Arozarena (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, according to MLB.com. While the M's have yet to release their starting lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Pittsburgh Pirates and right-hander Mitch Keller at PNC Park, Arozarena should be back in the starting nine. The 31-year-old veteran outfielder is returning from a minor left-hamstring injury after a minimal stay on the IL. Fantasy managers will want to get the two-time All-Star and former Rookie of the Year back in their starting lineups in all formats. Arozarena has been one of Seattle's most consistent offensive performers, slashing .291/.377/.448 with an .826 OPS, seven home runs, 33 RBI, 19 stolen bases, and 47 runs scored across 71 games and 302 plate appearances. He's hitting an even .300 (12-for-40) with a homer, two doubles, seven RBI, four stolen bases, and seven runs scored in 11 games in June as well.

Randy Arozarena Could Rejoin the Mariners This Week

Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena (hamstring) did some baserunning on Sunday and could come off the 10-day injured list before the team's series opener on Tuesday on the road against the Pittsburgh Pirates, according to Adam Jude of The Seattle Times. Seattle has a scheduled day off on Monday. The 31-year-old has been cleared to travel with the M's during their road trip this week, so if he doesn't come back on Tuesday, he could return at any point this week. When Arozarena returns to Seattle's starting lineup, he should be considered a must-start in all fantasy formats. The Cuban slugger has been money at the plate so far in 2026 in his second full season with the Mariners, slashing .291/.377/.448 with an .826 OPS, seven home runs, 33 RBI, 19 stolen bases, and 47 runs scored across 71 games and 302 plate appearances. With the two-time All-Star out recently with a minor hamstring pull, Victor Robles has received extra run in Seattle's outfield.

Randy Arozarena Heading to Injured List With Hamstring Inflammation

The Seattle Mariners are placing outfielder Randy Arozarena (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday after an MRI exam showed mild left-hamstring inflammation, which is more than the team expected, according to Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times. The Mariners' hands were a little tied with both outfielder Luke Raley (back) and first baseman Josh Naylor (wrist) nursing minor injuries this week. The Mariners said earlier that Arozarena would be available off the bench on Tuesday and was expected to return to the starting lineup on Wednesday, so we'd expect him to be ready to come off the IL when he's eligible. Until then, both Rob Refsnyder and Victor Robles could platoon in Seattle's outfield, with Refsnyder starting on the short side of a platoon versus lefties. It's a tough blow in the short term for the M's, as Arozarena has been one of the team's top producers in 2026 with a .291/.377/.448 slash line, .826 OPS, seven long balls, 33 RBI, 19 stolen bases, and 47 runs scored in his 261 at-bats. Fantasy managers need to keep Arozarena stashed in an IL spot in all formats.

Randy Arozarena Not Ready to Return on Tuesday

Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena (hamstring) is missing another game on Tuesday against the visiting Baltimore Orioles at T-Mobile Park, according to MLB.com. Victor Robles is making the start in left field and will bat seventh against Orioles right-hander Brandon Young. The 31-year-old Arozarena is missing a third straight start for the M's after suffering from soreness in his left hamstring last Friday. The good news is that the Mariners expect him to be available off the bench for Tuesday's series opener, giving him a good chance to return to the starting nine for Wednesday's contest in Seattle. When the right-handed-hitting Cuban outfielder returns to action, fantasy managers will want to return him to their starting lineups everywhere. He's been one of the team's most consistent offensive producers in 2026 with a .291/.377/.448 slash line, an .826 OPS, seven home runs, 33 RBI, 19 stolen bases, and 47 runs scored in his 261 at-bats in his second full season with the M's. Arozarena was a second-time All-Star in 2025 in his first year in Seattle, when he hit just .238 (146-for-613), but with a career-high 27 long balls, 76 RBI, and 31 steals in 160 regular-season contests.

Randy Arozarena Missing Another Game With Hamstring Injury

Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena (hamstring) is missing another game in Sunday's series finale against the Washington Nationals, according to MLB.com. Luke Raley is making another start in left field for the M's and will bat cleanup on Sunday against Nationals left-hander PJ Poulin. Arozarena is sitting out a second straight game after he left Friday's win over the Nats with soreness in his left hamstring. The 31-year-old Cuban outfielder didn't require further testing on his hamstring, so he's considered day-to-day and is unlikely to land on the injured list. With another scheduled day off coming on Monday, there's a good chance Arozarena will be back in action for Tuesday's series opener at T-Mobile Park versus the Baltimore Orioles. The two-time All-Star has been money for his fantasy managers so far in 2026, slashing .291/.377/.448 with an .826 OPS, seven home runs, 33 RBI, 19 stolen bases, and 47 runs scored in 71 games across 302 plate appearances.

Randy Arozarena Out of Saturday's Lineup with Hamstring Injury

Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena (left hamstring) exited Friday's game against the Nationals after tweaking his hamstring on a groundout to first base and will be held out of Saturday's lineup. Arozarena limped down the line and was removed as a precaution. Manager Dan Wilson described it as "a little bit of a hamstring strain, might have been more of a spasm or a cramp kind of a thing." Arozarena passed strength tests, did not require imaging, and told reporters he expects to be ready in a couple of days. Arozarena has been one of Seattle's most productive players this season, posting a strong .291/.377/.448 line with 18 doubles, seven home runs, and 19 stolen bases. While he remains out of action on Saturday, Luke Raley and Victor Robles will cover the corner outfield positions while Julio Rodriguez remains the center fielder.

Randy Arozarena Day-to-Day With Hamstring Injury

Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena (hamstring) said that his left hamstring tightened up on him on Friday night against the Washington Nationals, but he's not concerned about it keeping him out for long, according to Daniel Kramer of MLB.com. Arozarena went through a few strength tests in the training room, and "everything seems fine." "Just a couple days and should be good," Arozarena said. The 31-year-old veteran went 1-for-2 at the plate with a run scored before leaving early on Friday in the team's 10-2 win in D.C. Fantasy managers should be prepared for the possibility that Arozarena doesn't play again in the series in Washington, which concludes on Sunday. Seattle has a scheduled day off on Monday, though, so hopefully, he'll be ready by at least Tuesday for the series opener in Seattle against the Baltimore Orioles. The Cuban slugger is having a fine 2026 season, slashing .291/.377/.448 with seven home runs, 33 RBI, 47 runs scored, and 19 stolen bases. In 11 games in June, he's gone 12-for-40 (.300) with a homer, two doubles, seven RBI, four steals, and seven runs.

Randy Arozarena Heating Up at the Plate, Showing Signs of Power and Speed

Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena is having a good stretch at the plate over the past seven days, hitting .286 with three doubles and a stolen base. On the season, he now finds himself slashing .289/.381/.439 with seven stolen bases, 11 RBI, two home runs, nine doubles, and 22 runs scored. While the homerun production isn't quite there yet, Arozarena is tied for eighth in MLB in doubles. Most importantly, we are seeing improved plate discipline from Arozarena, decreasing his strikeout rate to 21.6 percent from his career 25.7 percent rate. Arozarena has hit 20-plus home runs the last two seasons, so with improved plate discipline, historic power numbers, a strong average that is backed up under the hood (.263 xBA), and his nine doubles are all encouraging signs for him to continue his power and speed combination and be a valuable asset for fantasy managers who invested a middle-round pick on him.

Randy Arozarena Remains a Bankable Power/Speed Threat Heading into 2026

In his first full season with the Seattle Mariners in 2025, outfielder Randy Arozarena hit .238/.334/.426 with 27 home runs, 76 RBI, 95 runs scored, and 31 stolen bases across 709 plate appearances. Heading into 2026, Arozarena is locked into a max-playing time role in the heart of the Seattle order and should be highly motivated to put together his best season, as he will hit free agency next winter. The main hole in Arozarena's profile from a fantasy perspective remains batting average. The 31-year-old has posted strikeout rates north of 26% in each of the last two seasons and has hit .236 across 948 plate appearances with Seattle. Still, Arozarena posted excellent hard-hit (50.6%) and barrel (11.5%) rates in 2025, and he's recorded at least 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in five consecutive seasons. As long as he continues to stay healthy, Arozarena looks like a good bet to be a power/speed asset for fantasy managers once again in 2026.
