Sherten Apostel Leaves Early Thursday Due To Back Spasms
Texas Rangers first/third baseman Sherten Apostel departed Thursdays contest versus Houston early due to back spasms after he dove for a ball in the field. Andrew Romine, who was added to the active roster prior to the game, entered the lineup in Apostels place, with Isiah Kiner-Falefa shifting back to third base. Initially, Anderson Tejeda (arm) was set to start against the Astros, but was scratched prior to first pitch. Apostel, the clubs No. 10 prospect, has gotten off to a 2-for-20 start to the season and any injury setback may end his season out of an abundance of caution. Check back for an update once one is made public.
