Outfielder Yonathan Perlaza has decided to head overseas after signing with the Hanwha Eagles of Korea's Baseball Organization. It will be a one-year deal worth $1 million for the 2024 season. The 25-year-old hit 284/.389/.534 with 23 homers and 13 steals in over 500 plate appearances in Triple-A Iowa last season. The Chicago Cubs decided to non-tender Perlaza which made him a free agent. It sounds like Perlaza will attempt to rebuild his value overseas and possibly return to the MLB after that.
