NBA DFS Picks for Wednesday the 31st
Tonight, we have nine games on the slate, which means that your DFS lineup has options on top of options. Here are some of those options.
For the DFS projections and pricing, we will be using FanDuel and DraftKings.
NBA Quick Links
Point Guard
Jamal Murray (FD: $8,600, DK: $8,100): The reigning champion Denver Nuggets take on a potential new rival in the OKC Thunder, who hold the number three seed in the Western Conference at the moment. Both teams are vying for that number one seed, which is something the Nuggets have done before. Jamal Murray will have to elevate his game once again in this important matchup; something he did against the Bucks a few nights ago.
Malik Monk (FD: $5,800, DK: $5,800): Malik Monk has been struggling quite a bit as of late. His minutes have also decreased in his last three games due to his poor play. However, the Kings need him in the long run. They take on the Miami Heat tonight, who are on a five-game losing streak. The Heat’s defense has been awful in the past few weeks and this could be Monk’s way on getting back on track. This is a good buy-low option.
Shooting Guard
Brandon Ingram (DK: $7,500): Brandon Ingram is becoming one of the more reliable DFS players in the NBA. His price is never too steep, but you know he is going to score, pass, or do both. He is going to be around the 30+ range of fantasy points on most nights. The shooting guards either have expensive players that will hinder the making of the lineup, or cheap options you can’t trust. Ingram is the perfect middle ground for your number one shooting guard tonight.
Brandon Miller (DK: $6,600): The Charlotte Hornets are a mess right now. They are 2-8 in their last 10 and LaMelo Ball is dealing with another ankle injury. Brandon Miller has been a bright spot and will take on a bigger role for this depleted Hornets team. Look for the rookie to have a big game tonight.
Small Forward
Bojan Bogdanovic (FD: $6,700, DK: $6,400): The Detroit Pistons might be one of the worst teams in NBA history, but they have a decent amount of talent on the roster. One of those players is their veteran forward, Bojan Bogdanovic. He is just a pure scorer, despite the opposition. He is facing the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have the third best defense in the league, while maintaining a bottom 10 pace. However, Bojan was able to drop 20 points on the number one defense a few games ago.
Cam Whitmore (FD: $5,600, DK: $4,400): The Houston Rockets have so many young players waiting for an opportunity. Tari Eason is out, so the next young guy up is Cam Whitmore, and he is not allowing this opportunity go to waste. In his last three games, Whitmore has managed to score 25+ fantasy points. His pricing is very low and think that he is the perfect plug in player for DFS tonight.
Power Forward
Paolo Banchero (FD: $8,700, DK: $8,400): Paolo Banchero will be an All-Star this season. He has been phenomenal for an Orlando Magic team that is making a little leap this year. He just had a 36-9-7 and now gets to play the awful San Antonio Spurs tonight. Look out for a Paolo triple-double, as he is going to go bonkers tonight.
Marvin Bagley III (FD: $5,500): Marvin Bagley III has made his presence known with the Washington Wizards so far. He is averaging 16 and 8 in seven games with the Wizards. The talent has always been there for Bagley, but never had the chance or drive to put it together. He is starting to do so in D.C.. At that price, you can grab him and expect around 20 fantasy points.
Center
Nicolas Claxton (FD: $7,800, DK: $7,100): In nine of his last ten games, Nicolas Claxton has garnered a double-double. In that same span, Claxton has put up 30+ fantasy points as well. He is starting to emerge as a cornerstone piece for the future of the Brooklyn Nets. There are better options, but if you want to splurge at another position, Claxton is the perfect top center for your lineup.
P.J. Washington (FD: $6,300, DK: $5,800): P.J. Washington is getting hot as of late. The Hornets are depleted and needed players to step up. Washington is one of the guys that is stepping up. He has scored 20+ fantasy points in five straight games. The streak may continue tonight, as they play a mediocre Chicago Bulls squad.
