Boban Marjanovic News
Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic entered the starting five in the absence of Kristaps Porzingis (knee) and made the most of his opportunity. Marjanovic poured in 15 points and pulled down 12 boards for his third double-double of the season in just 24 minutes of action. The veteran big man doesn't usually get playing time like this, but he can be quite productive when he does. With Porzingis set to return for Dallas' Monday matchup with the Jazz, Marjanovic will return to a bench role.
Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic scored 20 points with nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal in 25 minutes. Marjanovic filled in for Kristaps Porzingis (knee) and looked the part as he also drained all six of his free-throw attempts. The 31-year-old rarely plays, but his gigantic size makes him an impossible matchup in an increasingly smaller league. Marjanovic owns an absurd 25.22 player efficiency rating this year, which would rank just behind LeBron James if he qualified. Simply put, Marjanovic is a beast anytime he gets the minutes. If Porzingis is out again on Tuesday, Marjanovic is a really sneaky DFS play.
Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic went off for a career-high 31 points on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets. Marjanovic dominated the interior as he also added 17 rebounds with two steals and connected on 12 of 20 shooting from the floor and made 7-for-8 from the line. In a bizarre night in the NBA, Boban's line provided some form of short-term redirection. On the fantasy side of things, if and when the NBA resumes, Marjanovic's impact will most likely not last.
Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic collected his second double-double in his last three games during Tuesdays win over the Golden State Warriors. Marjanovic needed just 20 minutes off the bench to collect 13 points on 6-for-14 shooting, while adding 11 rebounds to his total. The 14 shot attempts were far and away his most this season, with his most recent outing with that integral of a role in the offense having come April 7, 2017, while he was with Detroit. He has nearly as many double-digit scoring games (eight) as he does scoreless games (six) this year, which makes him an extremely volatile fantasy option on a nightly basis. With Kristaps Porzingis (knee) expected back Wednesday, owners can likely watch Marjanovic from afar for the time being.
