According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN, center Boban Marjanovic landed a deal with EuroLeague team Fenerbahce on Tuesday. Majanovic's new deal was first reported on Eurohoops.net. The contract is a one-year deal with the option for both sides to opt out until January. He averaged 5.5 points and 3.6 boards in 8.7 minutes during his NBA career. He has been a fan favorite during his nine years in the NBA but rarely made an impact in fantasy basketball.

Free agent center Boban Marjanovic has told Meridian Sport in Serbia that he "expects" to land a new NBA deal. The seven-foot-four giant has spent the last two seasons with the Houston Rockets. "I expect the NBA, but if that doesn't happen, there's a lot on paper right now," Marjanovic said. The 36-year-old made 14 appearances last season, scoring 3.2 points and grabbing 2.3 rebounds in 5.1 minutes. He has averaged 5.5 points and 3.6 boards in 8.7 minutes for his NBA career. Marjanovic has been a fan favorite during his stay in the NBA, but he has offered very little to fantasy managers.

Houston is also receiving the No. 26 overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft along with Sterling Brown, Trey Burke, and Marquese Chriss. Marjanovic has averaged only 5.9 points and 3.8 boards throughout his career, so despite the change of scenery, he will likely continue to spend most of the time on the bench. However, if Alperen Sengun were to succumb to injury in 2022-23, Marjanovic could receive some interest from fantasy managers as a streaming option in deeper formats.

Marjanovic dominated the interior as he also added 17 rebounds with two steals and connected on 12 of 20 shooting from the floor and made 7-for-8 from the line. In a bizarre night in the NBA, Boban's line provided some form of short-term redirection. On the fantasy side of things, if and when the NBA resumes, Marjanovic's impact will most likely not last.

The 14 shot attempts were far and away his most this season, with his most recent outing with that integral of a role in the offense having come April 7, 2017, while he was with Detroit. He has nearly as many double-digit scoring games (eight) as he does scoreless games (six) this year, which makes him an extremely volatile fantasy option on a nightly basis. With Kristaps Porzingis (knee) expected back Wednesday, owners can likely watch Marjanovic from afar for the time being.
