Boban Marjanovic, Brandon Knight Land In COVID Protocols
Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic and point/shooting guard Brandon Knight have become the latest members of their team to join the league's health and safety protocols, ruling them out indefinitely. While Marjanovic has been a tremendous per minute producer, he has seen just 5.9 minutes per contest this season, keeping him on the outside looking in of fantasy relevance in all season-long formats. Knight has enjoyed a brief three-game resurgence with Dallas, who remains massively shorthanded in the backcourt. The veteran dialed up an 18-point performance Monday, but his future with the team is now murky as he does have a guaranteed deal moving forward.
Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight (hamstring) should be good to go for Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers, according to head coach Dwane Casey. He sat out of Saturday's game due to a right hamstring strain, but it appears to be a one game absence. Knight has been playing very well lately, so he should be worth looking at in most fantasy formats right now. It's unclear whether Knight or Bruce Brown Jr. will be given the start on Wednesday. Fantasy owners should check back closer to tip-off for more information.
Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Knicks. The team is calling the injury a right hamstring strain, but he was able to play through Saturday's game. The team could possibly be taking the cautious approach in a back-to-back set. Bruce Brown Jr. and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk will see more minutes if Knights sits out. Both players would be worth looking at as deep league streaming options if given more playing time.
Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Knight logged his first start of the season on Wednesday, finishing a 114-107 loss to the Thunder with 18 points, seven assists and two steals in 38 minutes. He shot a very good 4-for-9 from downtown, although his overall efficiency was a poor 6-for-15. Knight was questionable for the game, but he went on to log his biggest minutes in four years. The former top-10 pick has burst into life in recent games, averaging 16.4 points and 5.4 assists across his last five outings. Derrick Rose (ankle) is set to miss multiple weeks and Reggie Jackson is out of town, so Knight's value is clearly on the way up right now.
Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight (quad) will start against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. Knight tweaked his quad on Sunday and was questionable to play, but ultimately felt good enough with a couple day's rest. With Derrick Rose (ankle), Bruce Brown Jr. (knee) and Luke Kennard (knee) all out, Knight will be a popular DFS pick here. Newly acquired guard Jordan McRae may also get some extra run in his Pistons debut.
Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight (quad) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Bruce Brown Jr. (knee) is doubtful to play, while Derrick Rose (ankle) has already been ruled out for Wednesday. The Pistons may take the cautious approach and rest Knight here. Langston Galloway would likely see heavy run and be worth a look as a cheap DFS option or streaming choice for Wednesday.
Brandon Knight Listed As Questionable For Wednesday
Detroit Pistons point/shooting guard Brandon Knight (knee) has earned a questionable designation for Wednesdays contest versus the Oklahoma City Thunder. Knight has become an integral part of the Pistons second unit over the last four games, all of which have seen him score in double figures. He has nearly lived behind the three-point arc, with 37 of his 43 shot attempts in that span coming from deep. With 17 made triples since taking on a significant role for Detroit, Knight has put himself in the conversation for season-long relevance, so long as he is able to stay healthy over the final month-plus. With Derrick Rose (ankle) unlikely to play, Knight could see a significant workload Wednesday, with owners wanting to check on his status prior to tip-off.
Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight finished with 16 points, seven assists and three rebounds on 5-for-12 shooting from the field and 5-for-10 from three-point range in Sunday's 106-100 loss against the Kings. The 28-year-old posted his fourth consecutive game of at least 10 points, while his seven assists were a season-high for the veteran guard. Knight is worth owning in deep fantasy formats for his production with three-pointers made and assists as a key contributor off of the Pistons second unit.
Detroit Pistons guard Brandon Knight continued to get the minutes on Friday and he made the most of his time with another solid line in the two-point win over the Suns. Knight scored a season-high 19 points with four assists, two rebounds, and a steal while also drilling a season-high five triples in 25 minutes of action. With Bruce Brown Jr. still out, Knight, as put together one of his best runs in recent memory with averages of 16.0 points, 4.3 assists, 2.0 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 4.0 makes from three in his last three games.
Detroit Pistons point/shooting guard Brandon Knight is nearing a return, as he has been deemed questionable to play in Mondays contest versus the Charlotte Hornets. When Knight eventually does take the floor, it will be the first time since the 2012-13 year that he suits up for the Pistons, who selected him with the eighth overall pick in the '11 NBA Draft. He is unlikely to see the considerable offensive role that he did in his first tenure with the organization, but he could factor into the teams second unit as they deal with injuries. Should he be given the thumbs up to play, his minutes could cut into those of Langston Galloway or Bruce Brown.
