Chimezie Metu News
Sacramento Kings center Chimezie Metu (knee) will be available for Saturday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. He will return after missing each of the last two games due to left knee soreness. Richaun Holmes and Marvin Bagley III are healthy, so Metu won't have a ton of fantasy appeal on Saturday. Metu is not worth rostering in standard leagues right now, but injuries could open a door for more playing time.
Sacramento Kings center Chimezie Metu (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. His role has been inconsistent this season, but Metu has shown flashes whenever the Kings give him a chance. Sadly, the Kings don't seem to use a consistent rotation, which makes Metu a tough fantasy option even when healthy. Richaun Holmes and Marvin Bagley III are expected to have increased roles with Metu sidelined on Wednesday. Holmes has the better fantasy value between the two and is worth a look as a streaming option. Also, Holmes could be a possible low cost DFS option for Wednesday's slate with an increased role.
Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox (ankle) and power forward Chimezie Metu (knee) will miss Tuesday's game against Boston. Fox is missing his second consecutive outing, which paves the way for Terence Davis to remain among the starting five and see sizable DFS appeal. Metu's absence should allow Marvin Bagley III to see a handful of additional minutes, although the Kings' frontcourt remains a volatile fantasy situation. Fox has been on the offensive upswing during January, averaging 23.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.6 rebounds in his last 10 outings, all while shooting 50 percent overall. The next chance for either player to suit up comes Wednesday vs. the Hawks.
Sacramento Kings center Chimezie Metuis listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. He has been building up his conditioning and has a decent chance at playing on Sunday. Fantasy managers should expect Metu to have a significant role, assuming he suits up. Both Richaun Holmes and Damian Jones remain sidelined due to the league's health and safety protocols. Alex Len and Tristan Thompson have failed to impress when given the chance. That means that Metu could have legitimate standard-league appeal, assuming he plays Sunday. Fantasy managers should check back closer to tip-off for more information.
