Chris Duarte News
Indiana Pacers guard Chris Duarte (shoulder) has been cleared to play in Saturday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. However, he will come off the bench for the first time in his career. Justin Holiday will move into the starting five and will have increased value for Saturday's slate. Duarte has hit a cold streak as of late, so the Pacers have decided to shake up their rotation. He should still have a significant role in the rotation, but his value should take a hit from the change. It's uncertain if this is a long term move or just because the team has dropped three straight games.
Indiana Pacers guard Chris Duarte (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He missed two games earlier in the week before returning on Friday. However, Duarte only played 14 minutes in that contest, so possibly the Pacers are still being cautious with him. That being said, he could be sidelined during the back-to-back set on Saturday as a precaution. Jeremy Lamb would benefit the most, but wouldn't be anything more than a low-end streaming option.
Indiana Pacers shooting guard Chris Duarte (shoulder) has been ruled out for Wednesday's contest against Detroit due to a right shoulder ailment. Justin Holiday was bumped into the starting five in place of Duarte on Monday and logged 31 minutes, giving him some DFS appeal, even as Kelan Martin will draw starting duties Wednesday. Duarte, who scored in double figures in each of his first nine professional contests, has been held to single digits in three of his last five. The 24-year-old rookie has knocked down at least one triple in each game he has appeared thus far. His next chance to suit up comes Friday vs. the Hornets.
Indiana Pacers guard Chris Duarte got the start in the season opener and made the most of it, as the rookie scored 27 points on 9-for-15 shooting from the field in Wednesday's 123-122 loss against the Hornets. The 24-year-old added six made three-pointers, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one turnover in the terrific debut performance. Duarte is one of the more NBA-ready rookies after spending four years in college, and the rookie guard is worth adding in deeper fantasy formats as long as he remains in the starting lineup for the Pacers.
